DittoInteresting that you skip Epcot. Personally I've never skipped any park but if I had to choose one to skip it wouldn't be Epcot it would likely be DHS.

The lack of Universe of energy will dictate your plans? Or do you just hate GoG?

Might convince us to stop skipping Epcot if this comes to fruition.
Oh boy now you've really lost me no Epcot or AK?The increase in things to do might convince us to stop in. Always had trouble filling even a half day there. I'm in the minority, however, as Soarin and TT don't do much for me/us.
We are MK snobs....admittedly. We also skip AK most trips...![]()
News
Guy Fieri will be part of the new planet Hollywood menu

Disney found a way to make a real looking & interactive lightsaber.
I would have to guess this is for battle against the First Order attraction. If so then WOW!

Funny the different views this park has. It is my favorite park and we spend multiple days there every trip - that is why any news about improvements to the park has me excited (hope the spirit of EPCOT is retained though)

To each his own - but I am with @TheMaxRebo and @rteetz . I couldn't imagine not liking TWO parks. DHS is in such a state now we can barely muster about 6-8 hours for that park, but DAK and Epcot I can never get enough of, even though I would still qualify MK as my favorite. We are spending THREE days at Epcot on our October trip, which limits DAK to only one day. (With the seeming lack of nighttime / Rivers of Lights at DAK that will make that easier.) Of course it's food and wine, and we could honestly spend 3 days in World Showcase alone during food and wine.
DD13 recently became taken by Ellen's Energy Adventure, but I have to say while it's amusing it is too much a time sucker for me to want to visit every trip. DD made us ride TWICE last trip - which was definitely one time too many. Even though I like it, I wouldn't mind seeing it replaced. As many would, I would love to see an educational component remain in all aspects of EPCOT - even when it's a fairly false front i.e. the "education" of Test Track - but I don't really see how they could make a GotG roller coaster even have the guise of an educational experience.
I do have to say, I hope they will be pushing more new stuff into Epcot, like DAK and DHS it is also a park that has some desperate needs - and I never really thought they would start anything before they finished DHS - but it's good to see if this is true.

Edutainment is dead unfortunately.Well, I do try to do UoE for two reasons:
1. I like the corny humor with Ellen, Bill Nye and Jamie Lee Curtis
2. It's a great place to get in a cat nap in AC...
But like others have mentioned, I do hope whatever goes into EPCOT in the future stays true to the educational purpose - EPCOT remember is an acronym and has come to be associated with a fun way to learn new things...

Except the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow meaning is LONG gone - in 1994 they changed the name of the park from EPCOT center to Epcot - with the intention that at that point it no longer stood for an acronym. That means the park was EPCOT Center for 12 years - and has been Epcot (the meaningless name) for 22 years.
Yeah I just had a mini heart attack at that realization as well.Holy cow... 1994 was 22 years ago??? I could have sworn that was just a couple years ago.

I'm with you on Soarin and Test Track! Never could understand the thrill of Test Track - ride in a convertible on I-10 in Arizona at 75 MPH and you get the same effect! Nothing to the theme inside the building either. Have ridden it twice. Extremely disappointed the first time, so rode a second time to see if I missed something the first time. Nope. The increase in things to do might convince us to stop in. Always had trouble filling even a half day there. I'm in the minority, however, as Soarin and TT don't do much for me/us.
