Does this actually apply? I know it does for construction based scaffolding, but isn't set construction/ design and SAG or Equity under a different set of rules?

I honestly don't know. I had 2 safety/OSHA classes in college (15 years ago) and as far as I understood it if a place of employment has a platform that an employee may ever be on then they need to have a toe board...

I am not shocked on this decision. With both of these rumored to close near the same time. In my opinion, it seemed like too much of a coincidence. Obviously, there are costs to be cut. And, PTN was technically part of the Diamond celebration. I feel like there were two types of rumors floating about: Seasonal at DLR or Move to WDW. From what I have heard around, I just felt that the DLR hopefuls were more hoping it would stay at DLR and were afraid of it moving to WDW. Now, again this is all speculation and opinions. Seeing a more legit source like spirit say it may move to WDW, even with little confidence, gives this rumor some legs.

It sounds to me more like the fact that at DL they have the ability to take a show that needs to be refurbished (Main Street Electrical parade) because they can do seasonal nighttime parades. This give is more time to do these upgrades while there is no parade going on (between seasons when no night time parade is offered at DL). WDW gets Paint the Night, so they continue their nightly (except nights of parties) night parade, DL gets the night parade that needs to be fixed up, and when they do fix it up, they get a newer parade. the result is both parks get what they want, and the older parade is updated.

Definitely. The bag check is designed to slow everyone down so that the actual security can profile you. If anything, this is proof it works. I'm sure they catch others with weapons all the time, too, they're just not committing felonies and the weapons get locked up for the day.

We just returned from our trip. My brother in law was randomly selected 8 out of 10 park visits. I was once in ten.

My wife and I got selected every single time. Generally just one of us ( usually the one not pushing the stroller) but once both of us and the security person said to just leave the kids with him and we did not agree to that

With park attendance down 4%, you wonder how much attention parks will start getting. Through, by earnings report, the company is very diversified and doing quite well.

With changing out parades, and success of Star Wars fireworks/paid events, I could easily see some hybrid of a short term installations.

Side note: @rteetz doing an outstanding job as usual managing this forum and several off shoot threads for hot topics.
