News Round Up 2016

You know, I just realized something. And I'm sure that others will disagree with me, but between Mexico, Norway and China, I find very little reason to even go over on that side of the WC anymore.

Restaurants are mediocre at best, (just my opinion - I know some folks LOVE them, just like I really like Tony's and others rank it in the top 5 worst in all of WDW....:)), shopping areas hold no interest for me, and the rides are also not my thing. Since I don't have small children, I see no reason to even go near Norway.

The acrobats and dancers in China are interesting, and I like the Margarita's from the vendor at Mexico...but that's about it.

Don't mean to be a downer on these, it's just my opinion. Not trying to step on anyone else's likes/loves...

LaCava in and of itself is enough to draw me from Illinois. pirate: Arggggggghhhhhhh! pirate:

I believe she prefers "Old Hag" ........ in lieu of "Witch". Old "lady" could be misleading. :thumbsup2 She's no lady.

Can you call her Mother in Law? :tigger:

Well that's the about the same distance as between Mexico and Canada which has no countries. That said-we will soon find out if you are in the minority on this, unless that's your point.
I probably am...and that's ok...there's something for everyone to like in WDW, right? And I can certainly find stuff between Canada and Germany to enjoy...:)

Entirely OK, was just wondering if you meant "Frozen" can only help that area, or if you meant even as Maelstrom the area could just as well be landscaping to you.

As of now for our 2020 trip we are planning on skipping EPCOT all together. For our first trip in 2015 it was ok but it really didn't offer us much.

I had been skipping Maelstrom for years, but did visit the shops before the Frozen overkill. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie, but not the total inundation. I know many feel differently, so will just avoid it myself. There is plenty to keep me entertained elsewhere, and if tons of folks are hitting Norway, that may mean fewer are in my favorite spots. Glass is still half full! Won't say with which beverage....:drinking1

Gotcha, wasn't sure of the angle (although shops at Mexico and China?).

Agreed-if you are in the minority on this, that will be evident by the crowds being bigger than Maelstrom days-meaning your spots might be less busy.

Sorry everyone, I'll end this non-news now...
