I like Kong. It's an okay ride. Looks a lot like the Hollywood version, maybe with some enhanced movements and better theming. Great visuals, but still lots of screens.

The animatronic is really impressive though.

Those damn screens. We have a WDW trip for August and I've been anxiously awaiting video of Kong to see if it's worth venturing over for a day. For me, the answer is no. Not worth the time or admission for a bunch of screens and a (seemingly out of place) animatronic head.

MSEP leaves MK late this year for Paint the Night, MSEP goes to Disneyland then.

Frozen Ever After soft opens might start the 17th of June.

Oh no..we're doing WDW this fall and DL next year...if this is true I will effectively be missing PTN on my next two trips...

I have to agree. Spider-Man was groundbreaking at the time...everything since is just meh. I prefer Spidey to Transformers. Apparently the construction of the Kong vehicles makes the view a bit less screen-y by restricting your sight lines.

All good points...I am especially disappointed in the Hogwarts Express.........The whole thing is just so fake looking and the screens totally destroys the attraction. The story line deserved a real steam engine and a longer track and story by sets, animatronices and effects.

Change to The Plaza reservations coming on the 17th

Starting on the 17th, reservations will only be available to be booked from 11-12. The rest of the times will be walk-up.

Reservations are still available to be booked for after-12 meals right now past the 17th, and all current reservations will be honored.

I thought forbidden journey was a really good balance of screens and real sets. Only been once 4 years ago so haven't experienced the newer attractions, but I'd have to agree with your observations

I think Kong looks like a motion sickness nightmare. They can't have the tram video running like the tram is falling off the cliff and swinging on vines while it just sits there and rocks a bit. Reminds me of the polar express at SW--- they show a video of a leaf floating in the air meanwhile the ride is simulating the movements of the floating leaf you are looking at....terrible.

And if Disney made an animatronic head they would get ripped for it.
