News Round Up 2016

I thought they learned their less the first time:sad2: Hopefully, this will draw crowds away from the other rides. Since there are now 3 tier 1 that I want to do. Plus, Touring Plans is saying that Mission Space Orange will have a 25 minute wait at 9:30am on my Epcot morning. I wanted to save FP+ for AK that night. I am hoping that MS will get some relief now.

We usually do Test Track -> Sum of All Thrills -> Mission Space in that order at rope drop at Epcot - with Soarin opening back up and FEA opening I would estimate that Mission Space will be walk on at 9:30...it was walk on for us at that time last fall.

This is what Disney should implement into all the paths in either Future World or Tomorrowland :

They could do a bunch of cool things with some technology like this It could also be used in practical ways such as crowd control. No more painters tape being used. It'll likely never happen because of $$$ though.
This would fit right in to the Epcot future possibilities an imagine if type of thinking. Making the community of tomorrow better, safer, more efficient... They really need to get back to that philosophy and inspire upcoming generations to figure out a better way or "plus it" as Walt used to say.

That's what I am hoping for. It used to be a walk-on almost all the time before, or at least only a 15 minute wait. I would really like to save my FP+ that day. I have another entire day for Epcot that I will use FP+.

Any guesses as to the show time(s) for Jungle Book?

9 & 10:30pm

There's so many things they could do, especially in the tech space. They could have limited engagements (18 months or so) for showcasing startups or newer technologies. That way, you can get an actual partnership going but it doesn't end up stale. They could even leverage their ABC shows like Shark Tank as well. There's no reason why large areas should lay dormant because there's no easy IP to attach to a building.

Have you heard of Maker Faire? Someone else on the DIS boards introduced me to the concept during a previous discussion about EPCOT. I love Love LOVE the idea of a Maker Faire pavilion in Future World! I think 18 months is a very feasible length of time for exhibits, too.

Imagine all the little Disney themed items they could sell! That'd make the board of directors happy! :rolleyes1

And here I was thinking they would include the older DCOMS, but no.

Well, at least it has Call me, Beep me :rolleyes1 They should release another edition with all the classic original movies. I've always thought the current Disney Channel is embarrassing (don't worry, Nickelodeon and CN aren't any better either), so it would be nice to revisit some of the older stuff.

Animated or live action? There's been some really good animated shows the last few years.

Live-action mostly. I agree that animation has been quite good for the last couple of years (though sometimes I wonder if the channels put something sketchy in the animators' coffee). The recent live-action shows and films are just so cringe worthy to me. I get that every generation thinks the new stuff is always inferior to what they grew up with, but I don't know, I just think that back in the day these type of shows were at least somewhat smart (I grew up in the 90's, come on).

Probably just a matter of preference, though. The Disney Channel is still performing quite well these days, it seems.

Looks like the AK Jungle Book dining package is only bookable through September 5th. Not sure if they are anticipating ROL being finished then or if there is some other significance to that date.

Some sources have said July for Rivers of Light others September. It seems with that Sepetmeber should be more likely.

I booked a July 26th Tusker House Jungle Book package for July 26th, though I guess it could be changed to for RoL if that is ready but that would surprise me, so I'd think they leave JB for the summer and then RoL for the fall/September

"The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic Dining Package" can be booked through September 5. I'm assuming that means that Rivers of Light will not be ready until at least early September.

So you posted this after midnight-- was the booking opened then? I thought it was changed to 8 am?
