News Round Up 2016

In the comments they did say no fastpass for the meet and greet. Good thing I don't have daughters...

I have 2 daughters and a son who loves Anna ... yeah, going to be fun

I think the plan is we have a pre-park opening ADR at Akershus already so some of us will leave a little early to get on line for the M&G and then get the FP+ for the ride a bit later in the morning

Well I hope that works out for you! I love Anna but not enough to stand in line. My son couldn't be more annoyed with Frozen mania, so I guess we'll stand in line for Baymax instead!

Ok Observation...

Disney has announced several things today. On a Friday which is usually a slow news day and a day they announce closures and such. Are they gearing up to announce another closure and make it not seem as bad since they announced all of this other stuff. It just seems really odd to announce this stuff on a Friday.

Oh boy, I can just see the irritation now. I mean, I'll go on the ride eventually, but geez, that place is gonna be a madhouse!

I thought they learned their less the first time:sad2: Hopefully, this will draw crowds away from the other rides. Since there are now 3 tier 1 that I want to do. Plus, Touring Plans is saying that Mission Space Orange will have a 25 minute wait at 9:30am on my Epcot morning. I wanted to save FP+ for AK that night. I am hoping that MS will get some relief now.

Thanks! For some reason the kids don't seem too interested in Baymax - but the other high priority for them is Joy and Sadness

makes sense - definitely agree the timing is weird and then to have the booking start on a Saturday also seems off (unless that is typical, but not that I remember)

there is that rumor about Disneyquest closing, but is that a big enough deal to drive this?

It's possible. They just don't usually announce things on Fridays lets alone like five different things.

Well the silver lining with A&E is it will be interesting case study for the "FastPass+ is the root of all evils". Popular M&G with 3 rooms and no fast pass. Will that make the lines better or worse? I am going to bet on no change. Fast pass or not it still comes down to a person looking at the stand-by wait time and deciding whether that is worth it. I am going with... 90 minutes for first couple months and then it will slowly regress to probably a minimum of 20-30 and a more likely average of 40. shrug.

Don't tease me in thinking the possibility of Ellen's Energy Adventure closing for a Tron based attraction, or Imagination! closing to be re-imagined back to the original is on the table.

Don't you do that to me rteets!

I guess it's also possible that they are not doing as well with summer bookings as they want and so they're hoping this will help. I gotta agree though that it's a lot for a Friday and wouldn't be surprised if they slipped in some sort of closure or other type of news that wouldn't be received well.

Hearing the meet and greet will be standby only no FP...
