can someone explain what exactly this "new look" is? they look the same to me, am i missing something?

This is how they looked on our last trip.



I had to look back at our trip photos to compare to the new photos from Shanghai. Their clothes are a bit different. Mickey's new bow tie is smaller and he is wearing skinnier pants. Minnie's dress used to have polka dots all over instead of the solid red area at the top. Also, Minnie's new shoes have a red bow, rather than being solid yellow.

There is also a 10 second video of the new soarin film. I think Soarin fans will be very happy with the new soundtrack.

So far I am really digging that audio! Almost like the imagineers knew they couldn't ruin a good thing(soarin over ca) and brought the audio style forward to the new one!

it's rather subtle but their smile is a little bigger and a bit more cartoony and I believe Minnie no longer has any makeup (lipstick, etc.) on

I have to say that the park looks awesome but really has a different feel that a traditional Disney Park/Magic Kingdom. Like, Mickey's Ave looks neat, but totally different than the original vision of Main St., etc. and for the Alice in Wonderland Garden to be based on the Tim Burton movie and not the Disney original .... kinda throwing me.

Almost like this would make a awesome second park or something

The new Pirates ride does look pretty cool and that Davey Jones animatronic looks amazing

Ok…color me extremely impressed. I personally think that park looks amazing, and I like that it is different than the other Magic Kingdoms around the world. I love that Queen of Hearts maze, and the Tron ride, well, we need that in the states somewhere.

It's funny to me how that park got blasted on the wdwmagic site by certain spirited individuals (a very select few). Yet, it is soft opening already with much seemingly finished, and it looks incredible. It is unfortunate how it had to negatively impact our parks to make it happen for the Shanghai location. Hopefully this sees a ton of success, and maybe some of the impact to the domestic parks can be reversed a bit. This has been a huge gravity well on the company in terms of resources and money.

Getting back to that Tron ride, how shocked would anyone be if that ended up in the oh-so-slowly re-worked Epcot someday. Some of that aesthetic already appears in the Test Track ride.

Just got out of Captain America Civil War. Well done Marvel well done! If you haven't gone yet and are planning on it STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS ALL THE WAY.

I have to agree. My 3 kids (some of which are almost your age by the way ) and I loved the movie. The one thing that the Russo brothers are great at is giving all of the characters a lot to do in this movie. The lineup of 'enhanced individuals' ends up being a very long list, and nobody is short changed at all. And the fight scene at the airport…well…spectacular is one word that comes to mind. My kids really liked Antman and the HUGE part he plays in this movie. And, as others have noted on the interwebz, this is hands down the best depiction of Spiderman/Peter Parker to come to the big screen. And when did Aunt May get so attractive?

I think they look a little more cartoony (so perhaps relates to liek the Japaneses cute culture?)

The eyes and tongue are better. It could just be lighting on the skin but if not it's not overdone. More natural.

All in all I like the new look compared to the old.

Tron looks amazing. And wish we had a clearer view of Pirates. I'm really impressed with some of the stuff I've seen so far.
