News Round Up 2016

I'm sure Rteetz will do a better summary but... here we go (and they are still rolling in)

  • New castle stage show "Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire" opens in June (of note, it ditches the classic princesses and goes with Tiana and Naveen, Rapunzel and Flynn, and of course Anna and Elsa.
  • Finding Dory is joining Turtle talk with Crush - May
  • Frozen Ever After - June
  • Tiffins - Memorial Day Weekend
  • Soarin - June 17 (as expected), FP+ opens April 21 (TOMORROW!)
More to come...

WOW...after months of disappointing and often contentious arguing about money grabbing and cost cutting, the stuff that will be coming out over the new few months/years is incredible! Thank you to all who are updating the rest of us. While my trip next week will not include any of the new stuff, it makes it much easier to think about how to "sell" future ones to friends and family! :)

I think that was most updates I've had to do at once ever.

Wow lots of amazing updates. The River of Light preview is fantastic. I can't wait to see it once they have it up and running.

What a day! Got up early to get my ADRs (which all went great) and now all of this new info to wade through!

I thought that Princess Sofia was their first latin princess. I know they took flack that she was too white. Should their second (first) latin princess also be from a Disney channel series rather than a film? If it's important in the first place...

Interesting about the fast pass delay. And no mention of opening status for Epcot beyond the debut of the new film. Though they don't say that Epcot will reopen with it, so that's a good sign.

Guess they are going to have to raise resort mug prices as well.

What's funny is if someone would've asked me I would've sworn these higher prices were already there last August (not the milk prices, the other ones.)

Edit: My wife keeps telling me I should stop bringing my backpack full of water/mix ins. NO WAY NOW!
This just means I'll be asking for the free water now more at qs rather than grabbing a bottle.

Not really a round up, but it's different. Don't know if anyone mentioned it yet but there's a new feature on the Resorts portion of the WDW website.

Being able to see how many times people have booked a certain resort in the last 24 hours seems like a smart idea. Kind of cool actually.
This could be good but you also have to keep it in perspective too. The value resorts might get a lot more bookings in 24 hrs but might not be the best resort for you (think pop warner weekends). I think showing more of a delineation of the levels (i.e. Keeping all the value resorts together as you view, all moderates) would possibly help someone to better decide. Hard to compare apples to oranges.
