Trying to decide b/w AKL & POFQ

We're planning an early August stay and have it basically narrowed down to POFQ or AKL. We have stayed at POFQ before and have not stayed at AKL. Just looking to hear votes either way from those that have stayed at both and why you choose one over the other. The obvious $ saved by staying at POFQ is part of our consideration but not the only factor. We plan to do each of the 4 parks on a separate day and we will have 2 days of no park time to hang around our resort and go to Disney Springs. We will need 2 rooms for our group size and we won't have suites or club level for either. Lastly, when we have park days we are there ALL DAY! No back and forth to hang at the resort. Rope drop to park close!!

Makes AKL a tough sell. With park open to close that’s 4 days of no resort amenity use and then on the 2 days you will be there to use the amenities you want to spend time in Disney Springs. On top of that you have the extra transit time involved every day except AK day since AKL is kinda out there and the potential for your room to be waaaaaay away from the lobby so more walking time… I just don’t see the benefit. What’s the appeal of AKL to you for this trip vs POFQ?
