News Round Up 2016

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that they will be using the new digital version of the old film when it reopens. They are using it in DCA, so it's already converted.

I tend not to pay a great deal of attention to DCA. If it's been running digital there for a while, then going through the cost of a conversion isn't at issue here. That said, digital does lend itself to flexibility. I hope that sometimes they utilize that flexibility.

I agree. That would be great if they could add some variety to the ride. Not likely to happen anytime soon, but maybe in the future.

No it's not confirmed. That is the current rumor though. Either way the new film is looking at a June 17th debut.

I don't think it make logistical sense to leave the film projectors in place. I would be floored if the theater and the film isn't digital when it's reopened.

They don't need to do a Star Wars style rotation, but California Tuesdays or special events would be cool.

When it reopens it defintely will be digital. What I was saying is they will play the old film in digital until they can debut the new film.

Gotcha... I misread what you were indicating was a rumor.
The early date makes sense since they already have the film in digital for DCA. Epcot needs the attraction ASAP, so better to have even one week with the old film just to eat guests.

I would be not happy if we got stuck with the old one, want to see the new one.
If I were to speculate, the new film will be the only possibility you'll see for some years. If the old film is revisited, it's likely to be for a special event. If they were to spend on additional films, I could see a SW style rotation. I don't see that happening any time soon.

It's not an anti-gay bill. It's the right to freedom of religion. People forget when someone screams and yells discrimination against one race/sex/religion, what they are actually doing is discriminating against another race/sex/religion. There is no win in this situation. Through all the "acceptance" that is being forced down our throats, it is automatically discriminating against a certain race, sex, or religion.

No equal rights measure has ever prohibited the freedom to practice one's religion.

I may have missed it posted here, but I ran across this on another thread:

Disney Early Morning Magic- Fantasyland

Guests Check-In beginning at 7:30am at the Main Entrance of Magic Kingdom, by the Far Left Hand Side Turnstiles. Guests will receive a sticker for identification.

At 7:45am Guests are allowed to enter Magic Kingdom. They will make their way to Fantasyland where they will be free to enjoy Peter Pan’s Flight, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

no mention on price or dates....this is not a replacement of EMH they will probably do this on days when there isn't morning EMH at MK

This one would irk me as we fully take advantage of RD. I'd be sad to see that taken away...
