News Round Up 2016

Well I didn't say it would be as good as world of color just a "animal version" of it in animal kingdom. I'd love to see world of color in person.

As for Disneyland forever, I believe they can't do a lot of pyro anyways because of being right in the city right?

I am excited for RoL because it seems like it will be a very original show. It does not appear as though there will be a slew of IPs shoved down our throats to sell it. The concept art for it has me intrigued as well.

No doubt. The only real competition is Universal. But it's been 3+ years for us. And back them we found universal lacking. We did Legoland this past year and it's borderline six flags level. Not even same league.

LEGOLand has value when you have young (single digits) kids and also if you enjoy LEGO models. The rides themselves are nothing to get excited about.

We will be staying at AKL-CL the week of April 16-23. From your experience with past openings (I know there will be no ADRS for the opening) will they just have people line up for this hours in advance, or some sort of lottery to get in. Just wondering how they manage crowds for something like this. Thanks,

There is no lottery it's usually just a long line but you might be able to snag a FP if you're lucky, that's if they release them or not.

Its just funny you do all this advanced planning (our FP opened last Monday) and we randomly picked AK for the 19th. Now it will be crazy there if it is true for that date. But exciting if by some miracle we got in there.

You'll find those that swear this is not the case.

There's a term to describe them..."wrong"

It's honestly not even close. Not the show lengths...the amount of pyro. Both mk and Epcot are significantly less than the originals.

And yes...that represents a difference "post Eisner"

If there are good, long distance videos of both shows from the original year or two to today...the contrast is stark. I just don't know if they're out there.

Illuminations got hit the worst IMO. This is the one that could finally be replaced IMO.

Couple ago weeks even the shoreline cannons were not used-but shot from barges further toward the center. Those were there at XMAS yet. The big slow falling showers were lost years ago, and the finale seems a bit lighter as well. They have improved the screens on the ball over the years, and added some good laser effects. The buildings light up much more colorful as well. Extended Illuminations ending every night at XMAS is still great though.

Wishes has improved in some areas. Really bright fireworks during the show and still has the large bursts towards the end, however the finale seems a bit lighter as well.

Fantasmic is better than ever. Brighter water screens and some new video. The dragon lights up now very brightly. The ending has as many characters as ever and added loud fireworks at the end.

There have been some other night time improvements though. Up to the individual if they out weigh anything lost.

The projection castle show is far better than anything Wishes lost IMO.

Frozen Fireworks and Star Wars Fireworks are far better than anything Illuminations lost IMO.

And we still have ROL opening in less than 2 months and an even further improved Star Wars Fireworks coming soon.

We went two years ago and I gotta tell you...I think I liked the old cypress gardens more.

We're big on lego around here and we didn't like it. It wasn't terribly crowded - but you can't have such low capacity ride systems in Florida...the day drug on forever.

We're getting close - if not surpassed - the cost of Shanghai over there.

Don't get too giddy...we'll all be paying for Bozo's adventures for the rest of our natural lives.

Animal kingdom...joe rohde's "earing"...that is
