its a huge event thats incredibly packed
not that i would go, i like disney but not that geeked about it
in terms of announcements i agree its not so great although this last one delivered

I think he was talking about D23 as a fan club - not the D23 convention. There's no doubt the D23 convention is pretty successful. Disney basically broke off their own comic-con, and essentially makes all the money from it. So yeah, that's a winner. But the D23 fan club is really great to be a member of if you live in LA, but otherwise not so much.

The only thing they do that does sell well is the expo. Members get like first dibs at tickets and the general public after that. The expo is really the only event they do I would consider attending.

Well it would probably help if you got much of anything for you money. But so much of it is geographically locked...

Pretty sure it was supposed to be finished sometime this summer. The last post I saw on it was December, and it still had a long way to go.

There's a bunch of these lists published each year...so it depends on the day.

I think lego was recently identified as "most recognizable brand"...so that translates to roughly the same thing

I have some pins but I will admit I am a vinylmation collector. I have probably over 50.

Wife used to do pins-- and sold then at their peak of being desired.... I could never get the vinylmations....
