News Round Up 2016

If there's going to be a meet and greet for Dreamfinder and Figment in Tomorrowland, I'm all for it, but at the same time, will they bring some sort of a ride with them? I think Inside Out would be much better fitted with the Wonders of Life Pavilion. As much as I don't really enjoy the new Figment ride, I'd be really sad to see it leave Epcot.

I agree about Inside Out. I also think they should reboot Figment. Maybe they could do the M&G in Tomorrowland while they build the attraction and then move back to the Imagination pavilion. I'm not a crazy Figment person but he's is super popular on merch, pins, he's all over the place - give him a decent attraction. :)

It may very well have two. The only thing I remember was it wasn't a full theater and it was a takeoff on Mission to the Moon which I had seen years earlier at Disneyland. Was very disappointed in the attraction as the "thrill" of the whole ride was vibrating seats during blast-off.

I remember that too--I think the seats dropped a couple inches. very lame.

Yes, two theaters from the beginning. I remember it being exciting, and I never forgot the "weightless" schtick (the seat bottom puffing up as if you got lighter.) Its history: http://www.omniluxe.net/wyw/fttm.htm

Mission to Mars was pretty boring.
ExtraTERRORial encounter was really intense. I was in my twenties at the time, so I was "scared" by it, but holy cow it probably terrified anyone under 10 that "rode" it.
Stitch is a watered-down version of that - and is terribly boring while at the same time being a bit too intense for really young kids. (Kids don't really like the idea of being trapped in the dark.)

This is a ride that NEEDS to be re-done - and I bet you would not find a single person that would really complain about it, even stitch die-hards.

I just remember carrying one of my kids out in a catatonic state. Didn't they simulate a security guard getting killed in the dark, complete with "blood" spraying across your legs?

I absolutely loved it as the Extra version:). It was in my Top 4 park experiences at the time...now, this is from a kid who watched Terminator with my dad on home video at 6, but if I could have that experience recreated anywhere, I would be so happy. Everything worked - the preshow and the actual event...
I can take or leave Stitch - it's definitely a huge downgrade...
