Is there a list anywhere of when the Halloween party nights are , or can I just surmise it is when park closes at 7p instead of 9p ?????

The 7pm closures should all be party nights. Dates have not officially been released, but the current 7pm closures for October, are in line with past years, so they are pretty solid, unlike the current September schedule. lol

Yeah. When I said a lot of parties I should have been specific. I was looking at Sept and Oct. if Sept holds there are nearly twice as many parties in Sept. Hoping it spreads the crowds out more (haha I know...)

This makes my point about the long-term rumors such as this. They are fun to discuss but never worth getting worked up about.

As in this example: Rumors come out that Frontierland expansion is planned. They circulate for a while. Then a source (same source?) says that the idea was shelved because it was crazy. Source can't be doubted in this way. Same could be said in 6 months about the ToT idea - it was shelved. Maybe its all true, maybe it isn't, but again - not worth getting worked up over.

No different source for the frontierland rumor. The frontierland rumor never had a lot of specifics or a timeline like this ToT rumor does.

Rivers of Light opens this year on Earth Day.

He suspects that Avatar Phase 1 will open on Earth Day 2017 and assumes that Phase 2 will open six months later.

With SeaWorld ending their orca breeding and Ringling Bros ending the elephants in their circus, Jim worries about PETA looking for a new target with the elephants at DAK.

There is value to being tapped in to rumor and being able to get worked up and react.

I'll go all the way back to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The rumor/stories of it's closure allowed people to try to save it (did not work) and to ride again before it was removed.

If I thought ToT was likely to be rethemed, I might take more time to appreciate it on my next trip.

I feel like the elephants at DAK have one of the nicest living arrangements of any in captivity. They are not doing shows, and they have a relatively free roam naturalistic environment. As a conservationist, I also think there is value to having elephants above and beyond those in the wild. They are safer at DAK than roaming Africa, IMHO.

Exactly. We're in flux right now with a current trip planned for September but we've been mulling over the idea of postponing it to November or even late Jan of 2017. If there's a decent chance TOT could be closed by Jan 2017 for this re-themeing, I would want to know ahead of time so we could factor that into our planning.

3. I think Disney would be much harder to hurt than seaworld or ringling bros. Plus Disney holding elephants is no different than any zoo in the country.
