News Round Up 2016

I am most excited for Toy Story Land. Cant wait!

Me too! I really hope the Slinky Dog Coaster is similar to BTMRR or even 7DMT. Honestly I'd really like it to be more thrilling, but they did say it's a "family friendly" coaster which, to me, means it's not going to compete with the 48" height requirement of RR. I've been watching Youtube videos of DLP and HK and I can't wait to see the finished Land in WDW.

What exactly do you mean by "or even 7DMT"?

Does anyone know what's going on with the Disney jr dance party? Or joy and sadness coming to Epcot? Are they both cut?

I like BTMRR more than 7DMT. Guessing since it is being billed as "family friendly" there is little chance the new Slinky Dog Coaster will rival RR (height restriction of 48")or EE for thrills. (height restriction of 44") I am hoping for an overall ride experience on par with BTMRR but would "settle for" something like 7DMT. :)

I think you are going to get closer to barnstormer.

Ok...makes more sense now. Thanks.

I thought you were lauding praise on the mine train...which is nothing.

So a bit of an update on the food price increases. Looks like BOG is not the only increase, it looks like every place has increased. Some it's just a penny, going from for example $9.99 to an even $10 (I thought marketing 101 was that you always charge $0.99 because people perceive the dollar value. So instead of $10, you charge $9.99 because people will go with the thought of it being $9 as opposed to $10, I'm far from a marketing/accounting wiz, so I may be wrong on that). Most places have seen an increase from $1-$2 (some as low as $0.50 not counting the $0.01 increases to whole numbers, so as high as $5 per item). Add this along with the hike in tickets/resorts. I said it once and I will say it again, my child loves everything about the parks and I love taking her, but it's getting unjustifiable at this point. If you factor an average increase of $1 per item, a family of 4 eating 3 meals a day on a 7 day vacation, just your cost in food will have increased $85. Sure it could not seem like a whole lot considering you are spending thousands, but that is basically 2 extra counter service meals (and I think we know what everyone thinks about where the food quality has gone).
