I am concerned about the rumor I read here sometime in late May that WDW was thinking about pulling the MK resort boats. I have only ever stayed in the MK resorts and have used those boats for 26 years of my Disney fanatic career. What could possibly pocess WDW to want to discontinue something so special. And I know the MK resort boats are pretty much special to everyone who uses them. This may not be a big deal for some, but I know it will break my heart to see those boats go.:(   :earseek:

That rumour kind of died, but what's more important is that they have shut down the boats in the past, due to Lagoon levels. So it isn't unprecedented. If the water gets low enough, the docks are simply too high and at too steep and angle to be used safely. So, the rumour has not been confirmed and nothing new has come out that makes us think its true, but should the boats be shut down, it is very possible that it is for guest saftey and they very well could be reopened.

Living down in South Florida, we're having a 18 month long drought. SO, I know what Orlando is going through. I have seen the water levels so low that you had to literally step up to get off the boat. If they need to shut down till water levels even off, that would be understandable. That was an avenue I never looked at. Thanks for the info.:)

As of 6/16, the boats were still running. And they were full too..The water levels in the lagoon are getting a bit low..but the boats are still running
