You won't believe this! Walt Disney World is HOT :furious: and CROWDED :crowded: in the summer!!

I guess I've read one too many reports of people surprised about this so I thought I'd make an annoucement. party:

We can only go in the summer, but we have the luxury of staying longer, so we just take it slow and drink lots of water!! :sunny:

We go every year in the summer....LOVE the weather...could do without the crowds (but we have learned how to deal with them and avoid them!)

The summer is our ideal time to go! :goodvibes

Oh no! I should have read your post earlier!! LOL :rotfl: You mean I will have to wait in line for Expedition Everest if I get to AK at about noon? I was expecting no lines and unlimited pixie dust pixiedust: aimed directly at me!

I also expect all the CMs and guests to be in a good mood 24/7 like they are during February! ;) Now I hear that NOBODY is rude during the winter!

Should I cancel? :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: Brilliant! :rotfl2:

Maybe we should cancel too! lol

Is it really hot and crowded in summer? I always thought it was cold and snowy, with light crowds :)

What do you mean its hot!?! :scared1:

I have a trip planned and am leaving in 6 days...I packed jeans and sweaters...oh no... :sad2:

Now I have to repack...

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Shocking! :rotfl:

I went in early June once and that was too hot and crowded for me. Never again!

I think Disney discriminates against educators! They know we can't go except during Christmas, Easter or summer. Most of us can't afford it over Christmas or Easter (teachers' salaries, you know) so we are forcecd to go during hot, crowded times! Disney has so much money, can't they control the weather too? ;)

I think when you go there... you expect hot. It's probably the degree of the heat that's surprising if you're not used to it at all.

I agree. When I was young, a million years ago and brought the kids in the summer, because that's when vacation was, it just didn't bother me. Now, gosh, I feel like I've been shoved into a humid oven, and the only relief is the lady's rooms LOL! Up here in the northeast, we have hot..we have humidity. But nothing like the blast of air that hit me every morning at I opened my door to begin my day at Disney. So I do think it's surprising to some, who think it's the same "hot" as home.

I agree. They do everythng else right. Why can't they make the weather right for educators? Work on that will you Disney??

uh..that's because it's cooler than the men's and no one minds. Do you think that would be a problem??

Kidding..yep, it's that Rick part..but that's part of my last name. Sometimes I remember to sign it.

I have no problem with the heat but the crowds that 2nd week in June haven't gotten a lot worse than a few years ago. :crowded:
