News and Developments for Future In-Person runDisney Events

Is this one of the marathons run on the tunnel course? I was considering signing up for one of these earlier this year, but then had some minor running setbacks and decides to save this for another year.
It is! It’s the Jack & Jill one and not the Tunnel Light (et al) versions - deferred my Boise race from last year to Washington. (I found out that there is a little bit of animosity against the Jack & Jill races after I signed up, but I still plan to run it.)

I’m sure someone has noted it (my reading comprehension hasn’t been the best this morning) but the springtime surprise having ToT and EE in the image seems to indicate people hoping for versions of those races to come back may be in luck.

Could be a course design that does those three parks but not MK as well. It'll be interesting to see what kind of "new" things they can put on this weekend.

No mention anywhere on if Perfect Princesses will get guaranteed entry again this time?

So, I've never registered for a RunDisney event before... do you have the ability to register more than one person at a time? For example, two people for the Marathon (my wife and myself).

Likewise, will the Club RunDisney early registration allow me to register my wife and myself? Or does "one spot" mean one person?

Yea, I'm not so sure about the marathon cutoff just yet. It could easily be 4:15 or 4:30 as well. A 4:30 cutoff would be around a 2:08 HM. A 4:15 cutoff would be around a 2:00 flat HM.
So would a 4:09 marathon work for PoT for a half? I did a 1:53:20 virtual half, but my only in person race in that time frame was a full.

We have reservations for both Wine and Dine and MW, had given up on Wine and Dine, registration dates don’t match….so confused 😂

Just want to confirm what I am seeing that there is no longer early registration for Annual Passholders? Yet another benefit being removed and replaced with a pay for option in Club RunDisney :(

Has anyone seen anything to confirm that the 16 minute mile minimum pace is going to be valid? With the change of the POT, my concern is that they might lower this as well. If so, I'm going to seriously second-guess my Dopey registration.

I tried to reach out to runDisney via the “contact us” page and it’s broken. I’d suggest we send emails to guest.experience.services@disneyworld.com and if anyone has any emails for Disney execs, share those so we can contact them as well. The other thing we should be doing is making Disney aware that this is not a good thing on Social Media (and not just the runDisney Twitter - head over to other IP like Marvel, Pixar, etc.)

When it gets close (because I'm sure runDisney email is overloaded at this moment), I would encourage you to email disneysports@trackshack.com

I've got limited data on people using marathon times for half marathon POT submission. But I do know it has been done before and the conversion was very generous. If we do the reverse, a 1:57:52 HM POT is a 4:09 M submission. A 4:09 M submission for HM POT would be an estimated 1:54 HM. So I believe in either case your 4:09 M should be under a 2:00 HM POT. But double check with runDisney when it gets closer.

Math:

T2 = T1 X (D2/D1)^1.055 = 1:57:52 HM to a 4:09 M
T2 = T1 X (D2/D1)^1.124 = 4:09 M to a 1:54HM

I don't see any changes to that on the website, and don't think they'll change from a 16 mm minimum pace from the last person starting.

Yep, it’s in the FAQ and, conveniently, you can’t even buy club rD memberships this year.

16 is shown on the W&D page, under Race Policies

I was specifically looking into the "3 tunnel light" versions... but then saw several others that essentially had the same course. I did NOT know about any animosity. I was mostly trying to figure out how warm a race would be there given they were all sorta summer-ish. I watched a couple youtube videos from past participants and the course looks fast and beautiful.

The 16 minute-per-mile pace is still listed under Race Policies for W&D
