Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We have no family in Houston, so ours was very quite. Plus that means we have way too much food! The good thing is over the few years we have lived here, I have been forced to use my creativity to come up with ways to use turkey leftovers.
Nate is doing very well and eating like crazy. That is the upside. Of course that means there is a down side and that is that he has started to have seizures now. We have added in some new meds to his cocktail and are hoping for the best. Today he had to take a huge dose (4 times the normal) to stop the seizure and get a base level of meds in his system. His doctor warned me that he would be knocked out by it and sleep all day and maybe all night. Well, she should know by now that Nate marches to the beat of a different drum because he didnt sleep a wink all day! Ill tell you what, for such a perfect little angel, he can sure be a devil.
I also think it is somewhat neat that it was Nash (3yr old) who told us Nate was having a seizure. He came in and told his Dad that Nate is kicking This was a strange thing for him to say much less for Nate to do and when we went to check on him, he was having a seizure. What a smart little boy to notice that his big brother was doing something unusual. Well, whats unusual for him anyway. And to know he should go tell someone! Sorry, I know its shameless, but I had to brag on him.
Take care, write more soon.
