As time has permitted, Eric and I have been reading all the posts and let me tell you, all of your prayers are working. Nothing much has changed as far as the bleeding. There is a possibility that he is now bleeding into his stomach cavity, as his tummy is getting large and rounded. His temperature is dropping and is now at 92.3, which his doctor said is "incompatible with life".
Now I will tell you why the prayers are working. Incompatible with life or not, he is very much alive. He is in NO pain. That is without pain meds too. Yesterday he laughed with us and was very alert. His nurse and doctor said they cannot understand why he is not in more pain because he should be. I said it is no mystery to us! He has a whole world praying for him! God most certainly has heard our prayers and is being gentle and gracious with Nate.
You are all giving him such a wonderful gift of peace. We cannot thank you enough!
We will update again when we have the chance. In the meantime, please continue to lift him up so that no matter what is coming next, his spirit will prevail over the pain.

Nate has been on my mind all morning, especially with this being Friday, and the Magic is at CC today. I have had the image of Nate sitting in the beach chair, in my mind, as I was walking around reading meters all morning.

Dear Chris,

Thank you for sharing your joy and your pain with us. Since reading your post yesterday my kids have enjoyed more hugs, kisses, and laughter than normal. Even in his final moments Nate's life is inspiring laughter and love...thank you.

Please know how many people your family has touched. Your strength that comes through in your posts seems just incredible.

I have had you in my thoughts since I read this...I've never posted on your threads before, but today is different. While our faiths are different, the prayers are sincere all the same.

O God, in our hearts, we name those who are facing illness and pain. We join our prayers with the prayers of all who love them. Give them renewed comfort and courage. Strengthen in them the healing powers You have placed within us all. Guide the hands and hearts of those who are entrusted with their care. May the knowledge of Your love and ours give added hope to them and to their dear ones. May they find even greater strength because our prayers are linked with theirs.

Chris thanks so much for the update. Hearing that Nate is comfortable and in no pain right now is absolutely the best thing.
I hope that he is able to rest in your arms without feeling the pain as well.

Prayers are amazing, but what would you expect for an amazing little boy!
