Newport Beach restaurants and activities

We are staying at Marriott Newport Coast villas for 7 nights and will also go to DL one day, maybe two. What are some great family restaurants (2 small kids) and activities not to be missed nearby? TIA!

Ruby's Diner! It's right off the PCH. We it has good food and really great prices as well!

Oooh! We stay at those same Marriott villas every July. I totally agree with Ruby's Diner. We go there everytime we are there. It's not too far up PCH from the villas. We also go to Fashion Island mall for the carousel while there and Balboa Island for fun.

The Crab Cooker at Newport Beach is a great place for fresh seafood. Also a wander around Balboa Island is a nice way to spend a few hours. I would also second Fashion Island for some shopping even if only window shopping, there are also some great restaurants there.

The Crab Cooker is an old family favorite of ours! You must like seafood though. Nothing fancy, paper plates and plastic forks.
