I've stayed Admiral's Floor at the NPB once last year and I've stayed Sequoia Lodge twice this year, once in the main building an once in a lodge.
In
my opinion there is no comparison, I don't like the look of the Sequoia from the outside and I'm not overly fussed on the inside either, the colours are so dismal.
The NPB is light and airy and I love the design, it's classy inside.
I'd say the walk is about the same, maybe a little shorter to the NPB, standard room amenities will be the same, but if you're booking NPB I'd recommend spending the extra for the Admirals floor and being able to take breakfast in your room if required, the NPB is a very large hotel and by all accounts breakfast times can be chaotic although from what I've seen I think the same can be said at all the hotels if you choose to take breakfast within the popular 8.00 - 9.00 time frame. At the NPB we had Consierge service, free tea/coffee hamper, a room safe, mini bar, bath robes, hairdryer, chocolates in the room, VIP breakfast, (although this has now ended for Ad. Floor), flowers in the bathroom - at SL both times I've been lucky to get a bar of soap
The NPB was a special treat it was my 40th our 16th wedding anniversary and my DS's birthday and it was a superb holiday.
But to be honest the hotel doesn't really bother me, we shower, sleep and take breakfast there. Our usual routine is to leave the room at 7.30 and return around 10.00, so as long as I have a bath and a clean comfy bed I'm happy, the little extras were nice but not essential.
