Newly Released Theatrical Movies

I just found out Black Panther 2 is being released in theaters during our WC Fantasy cruise. How does DCL release new movies in their theaters? Does the ship get the movie at the start of the cruise or is it only shown same date it opens in theaters? In my case, BP2 opens 11/11/22 the last night of our cruise.

Traditionally, DCL premieres new movies at midnight. I would expect Wakanda Forever at midnight on 11/10.

Rarely, for Disney movies of lower importance, they do a preview a few days before the land release. But I've never seen it for Marvel, Pixar or Star Wars movie. We've been onboard for multiple major premieres and it was always the day of the release, at midnight.

dr strange multiverse of madness came out on our cruise in May. It won’t be on the navigator app until the day as they like to leave it as a surprise and it was announced the night before it would be playing at 3pm the day before it releases so Thursday at 3pm, and from there on they have multiple showings a day.

We've been to several "Premears" and they were always at midnight of the release date. We went to Cars 3 on the last night of our cruise. That made for a rough debarkation morning for the kiddos . . .
