Newish Stuff I Love

I was reflecting on all the cool little ways that life has improved in the last few years. There are so many things that I take for granted already that are so cool.

• Vending machines that take credit cards.
• A dry cleaner that picks up and drops off right at my door.
• Redbox
• Netflix & Watch It Now
• Adaptive cruise control
• Amazon Prime - I rarely ever go to a store for anything other than groceries or household/garden stuff.
• Three Musketeers Truffle Crisps - they are sinfully good.
• Infloor pool cleaner - no vacuum roving around day.
• My kids' Xootr scooters. They're great for quick trips and lots of fun.
• E-book readers - I like my brand, but they all look good.

So what is relatively new and cool in your world?

your cruise control comment reminded me of this neat feature that I recently noticed on my husbands new car, which i drive these days (although i really do prefer my 10 year old vehicle, but his is better on gas)
The windsheild wipers speed up automatically with the speed of the car.

newish...is wireless internet newish? we've had it sometime but it still amazes me that i can hold a device, free of any tethering and use the internet. just think of all those signals passing through the air. (do they penetrate people?)

although everything is all fancy and easy these days, i think that i could manage well without it all. In a way, somethings were better... like before mass communication, media hype, etc, it was easy to be happy in your own little community where people didn't know about all the crap going on in the rest of the world. eh,whatever. i am going off....

the one thing that i didn't realize i love, but have an all new greater love for is my rearview mirror on my 3 year old saturn vue. at night it dims the headlights so you're not blinded.

my hubby's brand new toyota camry doesn't. wth?! lol

also the cruise control on my steering wheel. the camry, no. i didn't realize how much i love that about my car.

i also love the wii. i'm very challenged using all the other gaming remotes, but the wii remote is awesome!

wireless internet is sweet. i really want a wireless printer.

otherwise, i don't really use all that extra electronic stuff (haha i have a 1st generation 3g phone that doesn't get internet properly.)

Banking - where you can just stick the cash and checks in the atm and not have to fill out a deposit slip/envelope/add it up etc... Now I need to swap to an I Phone so that I can take pictures of the checks and deposit it that way
