Just got back from our ultra sound, baby is healthy and fine but we couldn't find out the gender because the cord was between the legs!

Oh well, we have a 3d scan for Sat so I think I can wait two more days! Hopefully Acorn cooperates then.

Did you get any pictures tonight?

I haven't washed mine yet but I think the unscented Tide is ok since that's the only one that has He for our washer. Also TRU/BRU carries those also. Unfortunately we can't find He Dreft

My TRU has HE Dreft.

I've got Unscented Tide HE though. It's cheaper and my parents use unscented Tide, too, because my mother is allergic to scented anything.. and they'll be the only ones who might babysit overnight,etc so I figured it made more sense to use something I know they already use instead of worrying about him having a reaction to something new or needing to take laundry detergent to mom and dad, too.


I haven't washed anything, though. I don't plan to do any of that until the first of May, about a month in advance. If I do wash anything sooner it'll be what is going in my hospital bag!

We went and registered at Target and BRU and I am SUPER tired, so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow!!

The Dr gave us 2 nice pics and a video, so i'll try and scan the pics tomorrow!

No, they didn't give me any pictures and I was too chicken to ask. We had the nicest woman in the world and she tried SOOOOOO hard to find out the sex and get him/her to move a little bit.

I am going to the 3d place tomorrow for a 2d gender ultra sound and the price includes photos and since we didn't find out last night we knew we were going to keep the appointment.

Here's hoping Acorn cooperates tomorrow. I'm going to have to give him/her a pep talk.

I went to the consignment sale today and we got some good stuff! I didn't get any clothes since we don't know the sex but I did find a couple Classic Pooh pieces for the nursery. A lamp that was in really good condition for 10 bucks and a set of receiving blankets for 5 bucks. I also got a set of 7 Pooh and classic Pooh story books for 10 dollars. It was a really good deal and it came with one of those big collections of stories. I got some adorable never been used Carter's booties for 2 dollars and a set of 4 mittens for 2 dollars. Oh and we got a really cute Elmo that does the hokey pokey for 10 bucks...it's adorable and it moves around and everything I got 5 Baby Enstein DVD's for about 3 dollars each...not bad! They had a lot of stuff but a lot was gender specific so I'll just have to wait until I know the sex. It was a good sale though and I'd recommend going if there's one in your area. Never know what you might find!

That is funny. My neice nicknamed my first born Pluto....which stuck until he got here. She has not yet bestowed the name on this pregnancy.

DD has told us that if the baby is a girl, her name will be Maddie. If it's a boy, his name will be...Money.

I'm having my 20-week ultrasound on Monday, but we're waiting until April 15th to find out the gender because we'll be visiting the ILs then and want them to be included. I want to know so badly! It's going to be rough to go in there Monday and say, "Don't tell us what it is."

Great finds! I've told myself I need to stop until at least after the baby shower so I have a better idea. I already have a lot, though. I've been buying since January 10th when we found out.. and hit clearance sales at every store in town.

Baby Einstein DVDs! Great buy!! I'm going to join Disney Movie Club (they've got a Disney Visa member promo right now) and get a whole bunch, I think. I almost hate to shell out the money for something he might not watch very long but I've heard those DVDs are a must-have! Great buy!

So I registered at Target yesterday morning and it's still not showing up online. ANyone else have this problem? I'll be ticked if it didn't go through...It's probably a sign to not use Target.

I got one at baby depot when I had my first back in 01. I'm not sure if they still carry furniture or not, havne't been there in ages. But it matched my other stuff from BRU perfect and was not expensive at all! I want to say it was about $175-200 it has 5 or 6 drawers... It's now in the baby and the toddlers room as we got oldest bunk beds and it didn't match them.

I ended up spending over $400 on a new one for dd9, but it is beautiful. She's only had a cheap Walmart pressboard one since she was 1 (someone gave it to us when our house burned 8 yrs ago). It is painted bibbity bobbity blue and princess pink. I moved it into our room for the baby, and she got the new one. It is white with gold accents and a rounded front. And she LOVES it, so it was worth the extra expense.

What are you looking for? A dresser that can be used as a changing table or just for clothes? Also, what finish?

I did loads of searching because I wanted a changing table that would be functional later as something else.

We're using a narrow armoire I had at my parent's house to store most of Lucas' clothes, though.

Yes, I want a dresser that can be used as a changing table and then converted to a normal dresser after that. I would be willing to match the crib to the dresser at this point. I've found plenty of reasonable cribs, just not dressers that don't look like they would fall apart after use...

I have to see what Baby Depot has...
