Newest "Moms to Be" Thread

I am almost through with my GD test! It hasn't been so bad. My nurse is a friend from high school (my best friend's sister) and she is taking good care of me. They were behind (there have been tons of layoffs there and they are now understaffed) so my 1st draw was at 9:15, then I had to immediately drink the orange stuff. I stayed until 10:15, for the 2nd draw. The waiting room is so packed that I ran home before the 11:15 draw, and again now before the 12:15 draw. The nurse put in a line (don't know what it is called) so she only had to stick me one time. It is aggravating me right now, but so much better than having to be stuck over and over. My 4th and final draw is only 45 min away, so it is almost over. And dh is going to be waiting at a little restaurant here in town at 12:20 with our order ready to go (I hope!). We have to be a dd9's play at 1, so I won't have much time. I'm so hungry I'm sure it won't take me long to eat!

Hi december,
Sorry if you posted about this previously and I just missed it. Is there a reason why you had to do a 3hr GD test? I just had my 1hr done last week. No calls from my doctor so I'm hoping for ok result.
I'm just curious. I hope your results are good!

I got my results within 10 min of the 1 hr test-I failed by 4 pts! I'm heading back now for my last draw. I won't know until next week on this one though.

ugh... Sorry to hear about that.
Don't you just hate waiting? Good luck and hopefully everything turns out great.

I wasn't on for a day and there were 6 pages to go thru. All this food talk is making me hungry!!!! Tonight I think I want to go out for a hamburger. Mmmm... sounds really good to me. My parents are coming this weekend to paint Natatlie's room. :cheer2:  We leave for Disney next Friday, then her furniture should be in the week after we get back. Yipee!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend:wizard:

I wish I was heading to WDW!!!!!!

I'm finished thank goodness. I was really shaky when I left the hospital after the last draw. It is only a mile or so to the restaurant, and dh had a chocolate shake waiting on me:love: . It took them forever to get our food, and we walked into dd9's play just as the curtain was going up. She did great on her solo. We saw her kindergarten teacher (this woman is wonderful, and has been trying to get pregnant since we met her when she taught ds11 kindergarten-life is not fair) and she offered to bring dd9 home after school. Dh is going to pick up ds11 at the middle school, so I'm heading to bed. I'm ok, but not feeling great.

The Three Cabs, I am heartbroken to hear about your loss. :( I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Hi ladies, I will keep this brief cause this is a happy board a place to share all of our excitement and love of being pregnant.

A few nights ago my water broke at 19 weeks. They had to induce me and I lost my baby. It was little boy. He didn't make it through the contractions and died before he was born. Early in my pregnancy I had a blood clot between my placenta and the baby and my doctor thinks it weaken my amnino sac causing the water to break too early. He was beautiful, 8 ounces and 8 inches long. I know he is in Heaven now and that God has a purpose for everything he does and I trust Him with that. I know He will get us through this and in His time we can try again, hopefully with much happier results

I am so happy for all of you ladies on this board and I wish you and your babies all the blessings in the world. Thanks for the advice and listening when I thought my aching joints and bones were the worst thing that could happen to me during my pregnancy.

Oh my goodness :( I am SO so sorry for your loss and I cannot imagine how you must be feeling right now. All my good thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. And know that all of us are here for you if you need anything :grouphug:

I hope I get mine back that quick... but I doubt it.
I work about 35 minutes from the hospital.. so I plan to drink the stuff on my way from work, I get off at 3 that day. So 4 have the blood draw and she said they'd take extra blood to test before they gave me Rhogam and then call me to come back. They close at 5:30... I hope I know by that night! :confused3
I go March 10th.. the day I officially enter the third trimester! :scared1:

The 1 hr was done in my Dr's office. I live an hour away, so I had to drink it on the way. Then they drew my blood when I got there. I was sitting right outside the lab waiting for my dr, and the lady who drew my blood called me in and told me my results. I wish I knew about the other one now. I have been in the bed all afternoon-it just wiped me out completely.

Okay, I just wanted to check in really quickly with you all. I am leaving today to go work my sisters' childrens consignment sale in AL for two weeks and I won't have computer access during those two weeks! :headache: I have been pretty busy this week trying to get everything of Madeline's priced so I can sell it at the sale, plus trying to tie up all of the other loose ends before we left.

I hope everyone has two great weeks and nothing but excitement happens while I am gone! I will be thinking of you all!

Ok...I'm very excited, need to post.

I got tickets to billy joel & elton john concert at gillette stadium!! The first time, I got kicked out it wouldn't let me "add" my new credit card to my account. 2nd time, it just kicked me out...3rd time, I got them. We are on the floor, 2nd section row 4, I'm very excited!!

It's not until the summer, but its' a few weeks after I'd be going back to work after having Caleb. I already have my mom coming out and watching the kids for me. Good thing the tickets went on sale now vs when I was on leave...they were expensive!! And of course I found out about it via ticketmaster email yesterday. Good thing I had the extra $$ this week. I've become such a budgeter and this was a budget buster.

This is the 3rd time I'll see them together and I've seen them seperately 2 times each as well. They are my favorites!! I saw them at Foxboro stadium before they built Gillette...so same lot, different stadium.

Can you tell I'm excited!!!  :cool1: :cool1:

Woohoo! Congrats and have a great time! Definitely report back to let us know how it goes!!
Always nice to give yourself an extra little treat!

My life is not so exciting. Little doggie has decided he is angry at us (I guess) and has taken to pee'ing in front of the TV.
I scrubbed the entire floor last night, cleaned the (glass) TV stand, etc..
And this morning? Yellow liquid on the TV stand and the distinct scent of urine.

Stupid doggie is getting locked into the kitchen (vinyl flooring) until further notice. I don't know what else to do?!
I'm guessing that he is mad at us. Don't know why else he would be doing this. Driving me nuts! My nose can't take this anymore! And nesting has definitely set in... the entire oven was dismantled and scrubbed with steel wool this morning and I packed up more boxes than we can possibly fit into our car last night, too.

Doggie is going to pay.

:rotfl: Sounds like doggie is NOT adjusting well to all the changes. Good luck with him-if he is mad over the move I can't wait to hear how he likes the baby!

Thats the only thing I can think of!

Less time, I guess?
I didn't work over the summer.. and I only went to 1 class on T/Th nights when DH was already home. DH was home by 4pm, latest.
Now we both work (DH works full-time now, used to have a come-and-go-as-you-please 25/hour week job) and I'm working in Ohio (1 hour rountrip on top of my shifts) and we're spending weekends at the other house preparing... I'm guessing that is it. :rotfl: We got busy!

I might take him over today ... but he might come home multi-colored, we're painting today!
Waiting on my dad to put a new lock on the door (we live in a house him and his brother own right now, it was their parents) and when we got home last night the basement light was on and the door was unlocked! :scared1:
They're 95% sure my cousin (who approached them about moving in when we moved out) has a key and they don't want him in here.. so new locks. :sad2:

OMG-that would freak me out!

Before the city built us this new house here in the park, they had a crappy OLD double wide as the park director's home. The back door would not stay locked, no matter what we did, and a high wind would blow it open. It was not fun to come home at night, or wake up in the morning, and find the back door standing open!:scared1: The park is not really in the best part of town, and it scared me to death!

My sister used to have a dog that would tear up her house if she worked late. If she was home at her normal time all was well. But if she came home late, something was going to be chewed up!

It doesn't scare me too much... because nothing has ever been missing :confused3 . They think he might just be coming in to see what is left of Grandma/Grandpa's stuff and report back to his mom. We've got cash, change, etc in a BIG clear Cheese Balls container from Sams and it's all still there. If it weren't someone like my cousin, I don't think they'd of left that money there. Or my purse, which I left home last night.
Or the massive amounts of DVDs, video games, the Wii, Plasma TV, LCD TV, XBox 360, 2 Laptops.. etc. kwim? If it were someone like a robber, that stuff wouldn't still be here.

Yeah.. doggie isn't big enough to destory by chewing. So he pisses. Yuck! Bleck.

Well. Off to the other house.. hopefully the color we picked out works well with the bedding! Nursery is getting painted today.. which means we are 1 step closer. But still nowhere near being ready yet. :headache:

Have a good Saturday!
