Elliott's Halloween costume is supposed to be delivered today. He is going to be a monkey. Don't know what Wyatt, my 11 year old will be. He changes his mind often. My stepdaughter, who is a senior in high school, was telling me she found a costume and described it as "not nearly as slutty as most of the ones I have seen!" Ummm...okay! But from her description, it will work (it is an Eskimo girl, or something like that!).

UGH!! I hate the costumes they have for teen girls! They are all super short, totally trampy looking. Makes me crazy. Of course Julie is all over them.. Oh.. I like this one! Or this one.. I have to keep reminding her that it is going to be COLD on Halloween.. Super cold. Then I get the eye roll.. big huff... I KNOW!! Geez. SOrry for not wanting you to get frostbite! Net time Ill just let you freeze to death!

Sounds like everyone is ready Halloween. Natalie looks so cute in her Minnie costume. We are trying to figure out how we are going to do Trick or Treating. I think we are just going to take her to a few houses we know, then turn off the light outside. We usually get around 1000 kids, that is right 1000 kids. I buy candy for that many and run out. It is CRAZY busy here. Two years ago we ran out before 8 pm. Just crazy I tell you.

I ordered costumes for the kids, we'll see if they fit when they get here.... For the twins, buycostumes.com had Jack & Jill costumes on clearance for 5.99 ea. -- Since I was ordering for ODS anyway I figured at that price, if they didn't fit, not a big deal, maybe they fit next year.

We are either all set for Halloween or completely unprepared, I'm not sure. The plan is to check to see if any of the princess/tink costumes that Sarah wore (once) on the cruise will still fit. If so, that's her costume. Otherwise, we need to figure something out.

Mine will be Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tink. Finding the Wendy costume was akin to the teenagers comment of her costume not being as slutty as most. Who would have thought Wendy was popular in the adult porn world!

I love seeing all the baby pictures! Elliott and Daniel are so cute.

We took our boys to a Corn Maze last weekend. Carter loved it and ran through the paths. Landon fell asleep. Here is Carter pushing Landon in the stroller. And me hovering nervously, afraid Carter might tip the stroller over on accident.

Hi Ladies,

I'm Joanne and we just added Daniel to our family on Sept 16th. He was 10 lbs 2 oz and thankfully a c-section baby. I'm doing great and Daniel is doing pretty good. He had some issues with jaundice from blood type incompatibility, but is looking better everyday. Sadly breastfeeding went from great to almost gone once we supplemented him in the hospital. So I'm now exclusively pumping and bottle feeding breast milk. I've been able to provide enough that I'm no longer supplementing with formula. Kind of wish I had pushed to not supplement, but with the jaundice and high it go so quickly the Dr felt it was needed. I still occasionally offer the breast, but he has not wanted to latch. I'm okay with this, as he is still getting the benefits of breast milk. I had said I was going to try and breastfeed and see what happened. I also have my DD Jessica who just turned 11 last week. She's been a big help and doing well with no longer being an only child.

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Yup. Standard issue hospital blankie. Most newborn pics I've seen have the same blankie. Got very well aquainted with that particular blanket in the NICU, ODS was there 3+ months, DD 5 weeks & YDS 9 weeks.....

1 of the hospitals in town uses a baby blanket with little feet. Where I delivered, they use the ones in the other pictures.

It's how I tell where people delivered here... I know when I see the blanket!

I had the striped blankets with all 3 kids-ds13, dd10, and Katie!

I found a red dress with white circles on it this morning for $8!!!!! Exactly what I was looking for-not exactly a Minnie Mouse dress, but close enough! Couldn't stand the thought of paying $70 for a Halloween costume through disneyshopping.com. I have yellow crocs-might try to find red bows to put on them. And I have sparkley mouse ears with a red bow. I think I'm going to pick up some false eyelashes, black tights, and some paint for my nose. A little iffy on the paint, though!

Dd10's Jasmine costume was a little sexy for my taste, so I got her some matching shorts to wear underneath. And I have Katie's Tink costume that I paid $1 for last year after Halloween. We leave 2 wks from today for our MNSSHP weekend, and the girls still don't know! I'm so ready to go.

Patsy, when I got up, dh was checking out things around the park. He came in and announced that he was going to his brother's house. I told him he could in 2 hrs, when I got back. And I went shopping for 2 hrs. You'll understand why I'm happy about that!

I had a BIL encounter today, too. We called around the VA trying to get FIL's medical records (he had high potassium, too) and they said BIL had to do it (he was executor). We called him and he told us he didn't have time.

He ended up calling my phone later in the day looking for DH (and he was a lot calmer) and I explained that we want them for his nephew to try to help him. He got quiet and agreed to get the records for us.

People amaze me.
