Orthopedic Surgery on knees
I tell you these surgeons can do a lot nowadays. My dad mentioned one case where this guy had his leg crushed at work and they saved the leg. He had a full knee replacement though I think my dad said, but his leg was saved.Cool beans yo. If it weren't for my orthopaedist, I wouldn't have my leg. He's the only one in Philly who is also an orthopaedic oncologist and teaches at the U of Penn. He is an AWESOME surgeon, but he's moving to Minnesota.![]()

I guess so. I mean more than my dad had to help him. I remember my dad saying there had to be many vascular surgeons involved to.Wow, he was extremely lucky huh?

O.K.B.r.b
There has been so many advancement in past several years. People always say oh we aren't given to research because they haven't done anything for like forever, but that is so not true. There is always finds everyday even though it may be small it may one day lead to something huge.My tumor was right at the base of my femur, on the inside. It was actually pushing my knee cap over, which is what started the whole thing. I have a knee replacement and a titanium rod in my femur. The only thing left that is mine is my kneecap, which seems entirely waaaay too small for my knee now. It is AMAZING that they could do this instead of amputating my leg, which used to be standard for the type of cancer I had.
Your the first person to acknowledge that. Whenever I say BRB people ignore me.O.K.
Yeah orthopedic doctors can do so much nowadays. One lady I know Just had knee replacement surgery (shes only about 45ish but she has messed her knee up so bad before that that was the only option left). But 2 weeks after the surgery, she can already run. Next week, she is expected to play basketball again. It used to take months to recover from that surgery.
