Newby here with 3 kids

I am thinking this may be the place for us. We LOVE Disney, but the rooms just don't accommodate us anymore. The kids are getting older and we need SPACE!!! I was wondering if someone can get me started? We are thinking about renting with DVC, but am totally clueless! LOL However, I am a travel agent and may be able to stay in a Deluxe for half-price depending on availability. What is our best option?

I love the Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club and are going to Disney in early December. Does anyone have anything available and do we have to jump now? Thanks very much!

DVC is the answer! We have 4 kids. Definately a two bedroom will give you PLENTY of room. A one bed may work. Check out the points chart above at the resort of your choice to get an idea of the number points needed. Its best to rent Sunday thru Friday (much cheaper).

We just bought for the very same reason - well, that and a poor off-site experience! My DW finally had the ammunition to convince me to buy DVC - which we just Fed Ex'ed the closing papers!

3 kids at 7,6, & 5 will demand space for everyone's sanity!!

We also have 3 kiddos and LOVE the extra room, washer and dryer, and full kitchen!!

If your looking to rent points for BCV or VWL for early Dec 2006, I would start looking now.... DVC is very popular at that time and esp those two resorts!

Welcome!!! Dvc may be your answer. With your family size, if you stick to the letter of the law, you will need to plan on always renting a 2BR unit. The studio and the 1BR units sleep 4.

There is a resale market for DVC contracts, in additon to what you might be able to buy directly from Disney. Disney is currently "pushing" Saratoga Springs Resort (SSR), so you may need to "push" back and insist on learning about what other contracts they have available. I recall a post form one person who actually said to his guide "I want points at The Beach Club. If you don't have them available I will go to the resale market". Miraculously, they found points!!!!!!!!!!!

Look on the resale thing here on the DIS. The Timeshare Store is a great resource, and we had an excellent experience with them when we purchased a second contract through them a few years back.

I definetly think DVC would be for you.
Disney only allows 4 adults to a normal room.
With DVC you could get a 2 bedroom or GV and they are Awesome.
DVC was most Definetly our best purchase we have ever made.
