Newbiee at BVC

Just wanted to say hello to all as new member of DVC at BVC (still learning the acrynems "spell check needed"). Purchased 310 points at end of March and wanted to tell all Thank You!! for having this site, what a help. I am not one to purchase big ticket items without exhaustive research and by far this site was the place to go. I was very suprised on the lack of reading literature at book stores on timeshares/vacation clubs.Hope 310 points is sufficient, I have two little ones (1yr and 2.5 yrs old plus wife=5).I would be interested on your thoughts on the points purchased for family of 5. Remembering that school schedules will soon be dictating my vacation life.

Congratulations and welcome home!

If you are at all like most of us, you will always want more points. Doesn't matter how many you have, you'll always be able to think of ways to use more!

310 points is enough for 6 nights every year in a 2 bedroom for anytime except Premier Season (Easter and Christmas). If you can travel in early or late summer (or during the school year), your points will go even farther. Since your youngest is still under 3, you might even be comfortable in a 1 bedroom for a year or two. I'm a little confused about your family size - you posted there are 5 of you but only gave the ages of two.

You did very well with your initial purchase, in my opinion. 2-bedroom is the key and you have great flexibility for 6 nights almost any time. When's your first trip?
