Newbie ?

We just started playing yesterday. I have to say the whole family is really enjoying it very much.

We are confused about one thing though. Why does everyone keep asking if you are "taken?" I'm assuming this has to do with having a "boy/girlfriend" within the game but I'm not sure why you would want a boy/girlfriend in the game.

Any light you could shed on this matter would be appreciated!

a lot of kids, and people pretending to be kids, are looking for boyfriends/girlfriends. Its best to avoid the whole mess, especially if it doesnt interest any of you. you'll also see groups of vampires, people pretending to be pets, and a lot more.

Because apparently there's "nothing else" to do in the game. *takes tongue out of cheek*

Seriously, though, It's just a bunch of kids who started it so now all new kids (many, not all) think it's THE thing to do or have on VMK.

I can't tell you how many kids I've spoken with who at one point had a "boy or girl friend" that now think it's absolutely ridiculous.

Rest assured that it doesn't last long for those who DO attempt it LOL

Actually the vampire thing is good for hours of entertainment. when they "bit" you (can't say bite) just stand there and go "oh was that the wind?" or "do you really think that hurts?" or whatever you want. Cracks me up tha they actually try to BITE you in a pretend game. LOL Hilarity!

I found that the easiest way to avoid the are you taken thing, is to just put 'taken' in your signature box. Afte doing that, I haven't had anyone else mention it.
