Hi Everyone!!

I am in the planning stages of a Seaworld/Universal trip for either Spring 2005 or June 2005 for a surprise trip for my daughters 13th birthday. As I know how very informative and helpful the Disboard Addicts are, can someone tell me the things that we MUST see and the things that are not worth wasting time on.
Everyone helped so much when we planned a DCL vacation for my other daughter so I know that I can trust you here also.

So far we want to stay at HRH for 4 days and the rest I am relying on your opinions as I have never been to either park.

Thank you in advance.

Kat

katz99---Hi and welcome!! Yep, people here are oh so very helpful! I am not sure what kind of info you are looking for, but I am sure you will love Universal and Seaworld. Both are well worth the time.

You should definitely look into different discounts available for the HRH. For that far out, the only one available (right now) is AAA. If you are a member it can save you some. As the date gets closer you might be able to get APH (annual passholder), ENT (entertainment book), or FAN (universal fan club members).

There is also a good deal out right now for Universal/Islands of Adventures tickets. You can get tix good for both parks for 5 days for only 89/person!! If you buy them now, you are safe...they don't expire until you activate them, then they are good for 5 consecutive days (again at either or both parks!)

I will add that at Seaworld you should definitely see the Shamu show and the Clyde and Seymore (sea lion) show. They are my favs!! Also, feeding the dolphins and stingrays!!

I have not yet made my first trip to Universal, but I WILL NOT MISS the following:
Hulk
Dueling Dragons
Revenge of the Mummy
Spiderman
Men in Black
Shrek

I am sure other attractions are great and I hope to "do" them all, but these are the ones, in no particular order, that I simply WILL NOT MISS!!

I hope this helps a bit!! Have fun planning, and ask away.........

I would plan this trip much like a trip to WDW. Plan to see EVERYTHING particularly since you'll have Front of the Line. Some attractions are of course headliners but you never know what you might enjoy. Also, work in time to dine at Citywalk and pool hop to one or both of the other Loews resorts. Luckily, everything is close together so you can walk or ride the transport launch.

The 5 day tickets that d4est mentioned are super. We've purchased them twice now and we always pick them up at the ticket kiosks without a bit of trouble.
