Hi

We are waiting for paperwork for SSR. If we were to add some points at another resort in the future would we just be able to use all our points (from both resorts) when making ressie at SSR? Another ?......I have read about people making ressies day by day instead of all days at once. What is the reason behind that?

You would be able to use your points from other resorts at SSR at 7 months.

Doing day by day is a good idea if you are going during a busy time or want a room that there are not too many off. Say you are going Dec 5 to 12. If you wait until Jan 12 to make the full reservation, it's possible some of your nights will already be booked up, especially the first nights. For example, there could have been alot of people who booked Dec 1 to 8, so the nights of Dec 5, 6, 7 could already be soldout when you call on Jan 12. By booking day by day, you have a better chance.

Day by Day ressies are used primarily at the smaller DVC resorts that have limited availablity for things like "standard view", etc. Larger resorts, like OKW and SSR (when it is finished) may need day by day ressies during extremely busy holiday periods (Christmas, NYE, Easter). I just booked a 1 bdrm at OKW for Dec 7 to Dec 16 and did not need to utilize day by day booking.

If you do an add on at a resort that is NOT your home resort, the points can not be combined for a ressie until the 7 month window. Points may be used for ressies at the 11-month window at the resort where the points are owned only.
