I have just a few questions, hoping someone may have some insight:

  1. I missed the July 4th Costco online sale, do you think they will do another? We will be going early November.
  2. Priced out Sam's Club vs Disney. I can save $100 using Sam's. Has anyone used Sam's and what are your thoughts?
  3. The Sam's club offer comes with Dining Dollars, (not specific to Disney), never heard of them, any idea?
TIA

Welcome! From your use of the term "newbie," it sounds like you might be planning your first Disneyland visit. How exciting!

You might want to rename your thread to something like "Questions about Costco/Sam's ticket options" so that people who are familiar with those programs will know that it's a thread they can help with.

Most Costcos have depleted their inventory. Costco/ Disney heavily promoted this offer - signage was at every gas pump for example - but the marketing campaign is largely over. Given that all the signage is just going into the trash… it doesn’t seem as if Disney will replenish the inventory this year.

Also… this offer was largely targeted at California residents. Its availability, including the one-day online sale, likely expanded due to slow local sales. So I wouldn’t expect it online again even if inventory is replenished.

Unless Disney/Costco does a second round of these tickets ( say for 2026 ) it is unlikely that they will be available online again. My guess is that they were only available online on July 4th because the warehouses were closed.

Be careful with Sam’s Club. I think in the past they have charged sales tax on their Disneyland tickets. There is no sales tax on Amusement park tickets in Anaheim and you won’t pay it directly through Disney or most retailers so that ended up eating away any savings you might have received.

If you are in Wa state there are tickets available at the Mt Vernon store (at least 2 days ago!) I got them from my local one and it was really easy using them. And the 30.00 food card was a pleasant touch!
