advice about what in particular?

Dinning, missed out on the free dinning so just seeing where the best places are to eat. We're stopping at the Caribbean resort. What are the prices are like. Thanks

Have a look at the menus on here there are lots of places to eat.

If you are looking at quick services a main meal will be about $10-$15.

Table service will be $20 up.

:welcome: to the DIS. Are you looking at eating onsite only? Or will you have a car and plan to eat offsite? Will you have kids with you, want to do character meals, or buffets?

Both, haven't hired a car as yet, yes three children 17,10 & 4. Hoping to do a character meal and any other meal as we're not fussy eaters.

Although you missed out on Free Dining you could still buy the dining plan if you are going to eat on site. Have a look at allears.net for menus and prices of all meals. You can eat at the resorts or in the theme parks. You don't say when you are going, but if you want character meals or table sevice meals you can book 6 months (180 days) in advance. It's worth doing this particularly at busy times.

I'm confused how you missed the free dining for September 2016? It's still available!

I agree! :confused3the current offer for CBR for Sept '16 is free quick service dining ( 2 x counter service meals per day + 1 snack + 1 refillable resort mug) plus 100 dollar gift card and free memory maker photo package. This is available till 20th October 2015. The Quick service dining plan can be upgraded to regular dining for an additional fee. Hope you're able to take advantage of this offer.:thumbsup2

Ah, you were too early. If you only paid a deposit, it might be worth ringing Disney and seeing about swapping your package if you think you will be eating on site a lot.

You may even find that if you can't swap your package you may be better off cancelling what you have already booked, loosing your deposit and booking again with the free dining. Free dining is worth quite a bit for larger families and there is also the $100 gift card to take into account too. You would need to have a look at costs and see if it would be worth it for you though.

For us we would want to upgrade to the regular dining plan (1 table service meal, 1 counter service meal and 1 snack per day plus a refillable mug) as we found the table service meals a lot more relaxing and a good way to take a break. All the character meals are table service credits so again you would need to have a look at the cost for you paying for any table service meals out of pocket versus the cost of buying or upgrading to the table service meal plan.

Was it Disney direct you booked with?

I would still phone them. The package holiday companies all offer the same packages as Disney and the free dining will also be available with them. Tell them that you are aware that there are better offers than the one you originally booked with and see what they can do. Then you need to decide which dining plan you want to go with. Ask them how much extra it would cost to have the regualr dining plan than the quick service plan that would be included. Then you can start planning!!
