Hi everyone, I've been a lurker since March. I got plenty of wonderful ideas & insight from this board. Here is my question: How do you get all the photos you want taken in a 3 hour period if you need the photographer to go to another sight for pictures? I guess I should tell you my wedding is 12/27/07 at Seabreeze Point at noon. I'm having a magic Kingdom photo shoot that morning at 5:30 A.M., were having Cinderella's Coach and Mickey & Minnie at our intimate/escape wedding. We are staying at the Contemporary Resort. I would like to have pictures taken at the Grand Floridian before the ceremony.
How does that work with a 3 hour time frame for photos? I forgot to say Randy is booked for my date, so I am using Misty Miotto. She seems to be strict to the 3 hour coverage, although understandable, that is all she's getting payed for. I just don't know how it works if I have Misty from 10:00 - 1:00. As you can see, I'm blowing my budget on other things. The wedding will last until 2:00. What should I do without having to change my package and pay more? Thanks in advance for reading my long runon sentence and any advice you can give.

:) What if you have her from 12 pm to 3 pm and then take the pictures at the Grand Floridian after the ceremony instead of before?

It sounds like everything will be fantastic especially having the coach and Mickey and Minnie!

We had to change some of the hours in our packages as well. We also "faked" an exit. That way we could go back and enjoy everything with everyone without paying more.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the advice, I'm stressing with 74 days out. I was going to go with disney photography but my mother can't make it to the wedding. I plan on getting a digital photo frame for her with all the photos of our wedding. I should have mentioned we have a luncheon planned at Portobello Yacht club at 2:00. Do you think it's possible to take photos at the GF at 10:30, have the limo pick us up there and make it to the ceremony at 12:00? Timing is so wierd with everything being spread so far apart in disney world.
Thanks,
Michelle

Have you discussed your concerns with your planner and/or with Misty? Your planner especially should be able to help you plan for travel time between the resorts.

If you are really stressed about making sure you get all the pictures you want and can't add time, have you considered taking photos at the Boardwalk before the ceremony, instead of at the Grand?

Cinderbear, I agree with Hmgolden. Definitely discuss this with the FTW folks AND your photographer. Between the three of you, you should be able to hammer out a timeline that works for your event. And if things look like they're going to be too tight, err on the side of caution and pay for an extra hour or two in advance (get this put in writing as soon as possible).

Congratulations on your upcoming FTW.

Thank You all for your help and responses. I emailed my WP and I'm just waiting for her helpful response. I'm sure it will all work out. If anything goes wrong no one will know it but me. That's not so bad. :goodvibes

Cinderbear, when you hear back from the FTW folks and your photographer, please share the info here. I know it would help other FTW couples. Thanks in advance -- and good luck!

I had similar concerns that I voiced to Randy before the wedding and he was able to figure out a schedule that worked out perfectly. Just ask your photographer, I'm sure she has had experience with this before and will be able to help you! :goodvibes

Hi there!
I'm having an escape wedding too and this is my plan (still have to see if it will be allowed!).

Since I am paying for Disney photography whether I like it or not and since I want super artistic wedding magazine type photos I'm thinking this:

Hire an awesome photographer to take artistic pictures for two hours before or a while after the ceremony and then use disney photography during the ceremony and around the boardwalk area.
So using both. Getting the bang for my buck.

I haven't asked yet if Disney would allow this but I think it would be ok...

This is the solution I came up with.. maybe it works for you?

Hello everyone,
Thanks again for the advice, this board is great. I'm still waiting to here back from my wedding planner. Misty is not as helpful as I expected. Randy was booked(lucky for that bride & groom.) I was origionally going to use Disney but my mom, brother, and sisters will not be coming to the wedding, so with that said, I wanted to get a CD of all my pics at a reasonable price. I am going to make digital frames. Hopefully my WP will be able to help with timing and such. I've learned many things from this board and hopefully I can help someone else.:flower3:

That is a great idea! And I don't see why you need Disney's permission to have someone before and/or after - the only thing they forbid is having a second photographer AND Disney at the wedding.

If you want artistic photos, I highly recommend Root Photography. You can see our engagement pix for an idea of their style:
