newbie with a waitlist question, plz help

hi all! I so need your advice. We wanted to stay at the Boardwalk villas in July. They have availibility for all the days but 2.

Is it better to book the days that are available and waitlist the 2 that are not, or to just book somewhere else and waitlist the entire stay?

I'd hate to have to change resorts if the waitlist doesn't come thru, but then again I'd hate to lose the days that are currently available on the in case that the days that weren't available come thru.

Advice?

In order for a WL to be filled, all days need to be available. You might be waiting on 2 days now, but in a day, week, month you might be waiting on 2 different days and the oringal 2 days came in and went to somebody who WL just those 2 days.

not meaning to thread jack, but what if those 2 days aren't consecutive? We've run into the same thing, wl for Sun-Fri, b/c only days open were Monday and Thurs. If the WL doesn't come through, that would be a lot of moving around. We have a studio booked, trying to move into a 1 br.....
