Hello all...

I have a question that probably sounds dumb but I'm new at all of this and we're waiting on ROFR from Disney.

I know about the full service cleaning every four days but do you need to bring your own towels or for that matter your own toilet paper and stuff of that nature???

Thanks again, I hope I didn't sound too silly!

Don't worry, it's not a dumb question and you don't sound silly. Silly would be assuming (instead of asking). Welcome to the DIS and most especially to the DVC Forum. And good luck on that ROFR, too!

No, you don't need to bring towels - they're provided. You just don't get fresh ones every day. You can launder them yourself (or pay $6 for an additional set). There are washers/dryers in the 1 bedroom & larger units and free washers & dryers in the resort laundry room(s) for those who elect to stay in a studio.

You also do not need to bring toilet paper - there will be plenty in the unit and if you do run out, a call to housekeeping will replenish the supply.

Best wishes -

No Sara, towels are provided for you in the room but they are only replenished by housekeeping every 4 days. If you have a 1BR or a 2BR you have a washer/dryer in the room if you want to launder yourself and have a fresh towel every day.

Toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap etc are also in the room when you arrive, are replenished by housekeeping every 4th day and I think you can buy extra if you run out in between.

Hope your contract goes through!!!
Lots of luck,

They provide towels. But im wondering if there is a cost for toilet paper replinishment.

According to the DVC memeber website, you get towels the first day, but if you need more its 6$. Maybe someone with acutal experience with this can help you more.

You DO NOT have to pay for toilet paper if you run out. I'm POSITIVE! :teeth:

Best wishes -

thanks everyone, I sincerely appreciate the getting back so quickly too!

Just wanted to clarify that technically it's not a full service cleaning every 4 days, but Trash and Towel service on your 4th day and Full cleaning on your 7th.

TP is not on the list of "pay as you play" items. You can request more from MK at no cost.

Now if you want more Laundry detergent, coffee, or towels these are listed as cost items.

Just want to make sure you understand that the service provided on the 4th day of a stay 7 days or less is called "Trash and Towel." All that housekeeping will do is give you fresh towels, empty the trash, and replenish a handful of consumables that are stocked in the resort (including TP).

If you are staying for 8 or more consecutive nights, you will then get a full cleaning on day 4, with the T&T service moved to day 8. You can request modifications to the schedule at check-in if you wish.

You can also pay for additional cleanings if you so desire:

Studio - $25.00 per day requested
One-bedroom - $30.00 per day requested
Two-bedroom - $40.00 per day requested
Grand Villa - $60.00 per day requested
Trash & Towel - $10.00 per day requested.

thanks a bunch for all the info, I didn't even know you had those options and that they provide consumables as you mentioned, then again, I'm not a member yet and I'm sure thats all in the membership handbook!

Thanks again everyone!

We're hoping to welcome you home soon and YEP! - all that info and more is in the members' handbook. If you are at all like most of us, you'll be waiting by the mailbox and fretting until it arrives, and then you'll be reading it cover to cover - more than once!

Best wishes -

your so right! I'm just trying not to think about it too much because I'll go stark crazy!!!:hyper: Reading the DVC threads doesn't help much either!

Thanks for your wishes, too!

It does seem like forever! the waiting I mean! Here is some wishes for passing ROFR and getting to go HOME in 2005!:sunny: pirate:
