I thought I had everything "figured out" for our trip next summer and then got a new twist thrown at me, and need input! Please!
So apparantly we cannot take a vacation unless the dog goes with us.
So. Fort Wilderness it is. We will have an RV (a fixer-upper we're working on). Four of us, and our youngest DS is autistic and has fairly low muscle tone. I've gotten plenty of info about the parks themselves, but FW I still have questions.
I think we'd be better off trying to get as close to the entrance as possible? Because of the distance to the bus, etc? Okay, let's say we were in the 100 loop, really how far is it from there to the bus? I am willing to sacrifice the peace and quiet in exchange for convenience. I would like to avoid renting a golf cart.
Then there's the dog. Are the 100-200-300 loops okay for pets? Which loop is going to be the best combo of convenience and pet?
I think we will be spending most of our time at the parks, as opposed to hanging around FW much, but then again with kids you never know, so it's more of a priority to be able to get to the busses than, say, the volleyball court.
Also, if I've read correctly, it would be okay to leave the dog in the RV with the air running (of course)? She would like that alot better than a kennel. The whole kennel thing is the reason we're now taking her with us on vacation. She mostly just sleeps all day, and then sleeps all night.
She's got a tough life. And then, okay, we can only walk her on the specific trails, which I'm *assuming* are right there where we'd be parked?
I'm sure I have more questions but I think this post is long enough.
