Hi everyone. I am a newbie here on the board. I am also a newbie to all things US and IOA. My fiancee and I are planning to come to Florida in October. This will be my very first vacation ever. I am so excited :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay:

We are on a very limited budget. I would like to know what hotels that are near US and IOA that are decent? We will only be in the rooms to sleep and will require seperate beds (we are abstaining until our marriage). We mainly want something cheap and decent. We were hoping to find something for around $50 bucks a night before taxes. We have our tickets, our plane tickets too. Now we need to find a room. We plan to either walk to the parks if close enough or use the LYNX or the trolley.

Thanks a bunch.

I'm afraid I can't help you too much on your search for a cheap hotel. We've only stayed at the on-site hotels at Universal Orlando. However I did find this link on the UO website that has other hotel suggestions in the area...

It looks like they don't list the prices, but you could call a few of them and find out what their rates are.

Off topic...I wanted to say "Good for You!" for abstaining until you're married! I mean that. It's rare these days to find people who realize that their virginity is actually worth something and who make a choice to keep themselves pure for their future spouse. That's awesome!

You guys are gonna have a lot of fun at US/IOA!!!

Hello and welcome to the boards. There are some very nice, inexpensive hotels right down the street from Universal on I Drive. A friend stayed in a Motel 6 that was built about a year ago and I think the rate was something like $45/night. You can do a search on any of the travel sites (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) for hotels in the Universal Studios area and within a budget.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

BTW...I'm originally from Virginia too!

I will definately check out these links. I am so excited about this trip it is crazy. I am from a tiny town in the middle of nowhere so this will be quite the adventure.
NashvilleTrio, I agree too many of our young ladies and men today think nothing of their virginity. My mother always told me that she prefered I did not lose mine until I was married but that she could not stop me. She use to say "It's the one thing in your life that you have complete control over". I will be 34 next month and I can't say that I have regretted it one bit.
