I will be taking my first trip to DL in less than 3 weeks (I'm so excited!!!
). I had a couple of questions for all of the experts out there.
Is Legoland closer to San Diego or Anaheim? I was thinking about rearranging my hotels and staying in San Diego for 2 nights. I was wondering if I should add another night on in case Legoland is closer to San Diego than Anaheim. Also, my son is 11 1/2, is it worth going to Legoland or are the rides for younger kids?
As we are flying into LAX, is it a fairly short drive/cheap cab fare to the Amtrak station? We would be getting to San Diego this way.
One last question, for now
, are the tickets that you get off of disneyland.com the same tickets that you would be able to buy being a guest at GC? I know at WDW, you can get upgraded tickets when your a guest on site.(At least you could, I haven't been there since they changed to the MYW tickets). Wasn't sure if it worked the same at DL.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I do already have my DL tickets, we'll be at GC for 8 days so I bought 5 day hoppers. I also wanted to take a couple of the tours being offered. Do you think this will give us enough time to see everything? I wanted to give us a couple extra days in case we wanted to just go sightseeing. My son is very star struck so I was thinking a day in Hollywood to look around would be kind of neat. Is cab fare/bus fare fairly inexpensive? I don't plan on renting a car while I'm out there and not sure exactly how to get around. I do plan on going to Sea World, but wasn't so sure about the zoo. Everyone raves about it, so I'm thinking maybe I should add that on. So much planning, so little time. We leave in 17 days!!! Thanks again for your help and the
