Hi everyone,

Just stopping by to say hello as I'm working my way through all your TR's (which I love!!!) Counting down to our holiday in October to BLT, can't wait. Been browsing the site for a few weeks now wishing the time away lol. Hope you're all well, I'm freezing here in Scotland and dreaming of the sun.

:welcome: to the Dis toots! :goodvibes

Glad to see you've found the trip reports boards! :thumbsup2 Hope you find lots of hints and tips for your trip in October. Will it be your first trip? If so, stick around here, you'll find some amazing people who will be able to answer any questions you have! Keep browsing for tips too, there's always loads about on the boards!

thanks for the welcome's guys. I've been twice before once in 1994 when I was 12 and then in 2007. Stayed off site first time and in POP last time. I didn't do many rides etc last time as my wee girl was only 3 months and I was happy just wandering taking it all in with her in her buggy. This time I'm going on EVERYTHING lol, Paige princess: will be 4 and my wee man Dylan pirate: will be 1, my DH, my mum, my brother and his 13 yo daughter are coming too. My mum had been loads and done all the rides so would rather take the kids to see stuff etc. I also can't wait to take Paige to BBB and to meet Ariel. There is so much I want her to see, she's such a disney girl, she has no idea what it'll be like. She loves looking at the TR's with me and seeing everyone's pictures. I'm a bit too excited for it being so far away lol.

xxxxxxxx

I really don't think you can ever be too excited at it being too far away ;) My next trip will probably only be in about 2 and a half years and I still day-dream about going back most days! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a wonderful trip this time around, great mix of ages too and I'm sure you'll all have a wonderful time!

Hi and :welcome: to the boards

As you have been checking it out for a few weeks you will know that everyone here is friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. You are definitely doing the right thing by checking out the trip reports. Some of them are so well written and will give you some great ideas as to what you may enjoy, and will point you in the direction of a few things that you maybe weren't even aware of.
Last time we went was in October and we had a fantastic time doing all the Halloween stuff that is going on.
You are so going to love the look on your daughters face when she sees what a magical place it is, and that all these people she is reading about in the books and watching on the TV and cinema really do exist for her to talk to, touch and cuddle. Make sure you have your camera and tissues at the ready :goodvibes

Happy planning

:welcome: to the DIS toots. Happy planning! :thumbsup2

Hello and welcome :dance3:

Im permatly excited about a disney trip even when we dont have one planned, so you are i good company here.

Trip reports are a fab way of working out what you would like to do and what you think would be best avoided. I kow your little princess will have a ball !! MY dd is 4 and was amazed by everything. I love her face when she saw cinderellas castle for the first time - a real tear jerker moment!!

My dd also srprised us all and loved the rides- she even went on ToT !!
Any questions ask away,
Louise x

thanks again for the welcome every1. It will be good to get some tips from people who've been with kids as I've never really planned a trip for kids before and I don't want to miss anything. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions soon. Can't wait for the 180 day mark so I can do some ADR's and book BBB for Paige!!

Hi Mhari

Welcome to our friendly little community! :goodvibes

Hi everyone,

I'm freezing here in Scotland and dreaming of the sun.
:flower3:

Yep, I know that feeling. That's how I feel 50 weeks of the year. The other 2 weeks are my vitamin D dose for the year, courtesy of the Florida sun :) I wonder if we could persuade the NHS that an annual trip to Florida is worthy of a prescription - we would, of course, be quite happy to pay the £5 prescription charge.

Ask the questions you need answers to. Wonder out loud. Don't worry about whether your questions are 'silly' - there is no such thing. Sometimes it's fun to post a question on here that we could go and research ourselves, but it is so much more enjoyable chatting about it with other people instead of reading it off of a web page. It's the discussions that follow the questions that open up opportunities for us to interact, get to know each other and just enjoy being part of it all. It's great to have you on here. I hope you stick around with us! :goodvibes

How many kiddies are you taking and how old are they?

OMG yesssssssssss how good would that be!!!!!

I'll have Paige who will be 4 1/2 and Dylan will be 13 months, along with my (will be) 14 yo niece, me (will be 29) DH 33, my brother 34 and my mum 50 something lol

It'll be fab to do lots of different things, the men want to go to House of Blues for a boys night lol and my mum said she'd like to have the kids for a while so we can do coasters etc, she's been about 8 times and loves just wandering, seeing the kids happy lol. My niece is amazing with the kids, esp Paige so she'll be huge help :grouphug: <----- sorry, Paige wanted to put a "sticker" on lol

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx oh, I read your TR, loved it

Thank you. It's not finished yet. You will know then that we were very impressed with HoB and plan on doing a few meals there this year :) In fact, maybe the girls should have a similar evening there too ;)

Are the guys going for a meal there too, or just a night out? You can get restaurant.com certificates which make it even better value so let us know and we can help you out with that too.

Paige is a great age to go now. She'll be into all the Princesses and Fairies and things like that - you have to enjoy this stage as it doesn't seem to last that long.

I will try pop back on here later. Busy busy day today :upsidedow

thanks guys thats great info. I think they probs just go for a few drinks but I'll check the dates n see if there is anything that'd interest them. xx
