Long time Diser but VMK newbie...

I have a few questions.
How do you get credits? (I have done Yeti, Ned and Esmarelda)

How do you buy things is there only the one store on main street?

How do you trade... I know how the transaction works but what are fair trades... should I wait until I have more things to offer?

Last Question is for my DD-9 she wants a dress really bad is there a place that she can buy one or does she have to trade for one?

Any other tips and advice would be great too....

My girls are on spring break and they just discovered VMK they are hooked

Play games like the Fireworks game, the Pirates game, Jungle Cruise, mix music and play the music, click on the NPCs every day, play staff games (winning some of those games will give you credits).

How do you buy things is there only the one store on main street?

Each part of VMK has its own store and you can buy things from all of them.

I'm still learning this myself as I don't do much trading. So I'd be interested in seeing how others respond. I am learning some by simply going into the trade subforum here and reading through the posts...to see what people are offering for different items.

She will have to trade...the stores are not selling them.

Staff games are games organized by vmk staff who have HOST_ before their title. The games have prizes most times and are mostly based on a theme of the month(this month is villians month). Yes the stores sell totally different items. A full list can be found on one of the stickys on top of the main vmk board.

To shop, the first thing you need to do is go to each of the "lands" and look for the shop in that land. Shrunken Neds, Golden Horseshoe, Star Traders, It's a Small World, and Emporium are the shops. Actually go to those shops and then double click on the cash register. Once you do that, you can then shop using the SHOP icon on the bottom of your screen. However, there are certain things that are in "Specials" that you can only see when you actually go to that store and click on the cash register.

For trading, start slow and trade buyable furniture for other buyable furniture. Look in the shops to know how much each piece of furniture is worth.

She will have to trade for a dress at this point. Go to the Trades section of this board and find out what others have traded them for. The best thing I can suggest is to buy the next 'special" costume or pin that comes out, and then when they are no longer available using them for trades.

As others have suggested, definitely check out the VMK Player's Guide Sticky at the top. You may find codes in there that will give you free credits!

You are missing a few NPCs: the dragon in the Fantasyland dungeon, the pirate in Adventureland, and the ghosts in the Haunted Mansion. Each of these will also give you credits every 12 hours.

To start a trade, click on the player you want to trade with. When their profile comes up, click on their trade button to send them an invatation to trade. When the trade window comes up, double-click on the items you want to offer. When you think the trade is fair, check the box labled, "You accept"
When the other person does the same, you'll see a summary of the about to be traded items. Click "OK" and you'll be done! NOTE: Certain items cannot be traded. Also, players can only trade 15 Items at a time.
