Newbie question

After 12 years after it I have just bought some days ago a BWV 200 points contract (196 coming october 2011 and 200 october 2013) with an october use year, and have been reading here a lot here until I think I got how it works. I think it will take until late august to close my contract, so I'm right thinking I'd be able to book my august 2012 vacation in september 2011 since my use year is october borrowing my points one month ahead? Thanks a lot guys!

Your use year has nothing to do with borrowing points for a trip like you are describing. It's all about the trip dates, NOT about when you make your reservation.

Your October use year means your points are good for trips during October 1, 20xx to September 30, 20xx (the following year).

If you want to use the 11 month window, you would book your August 2012 trip in September 2011. You would be using October 2011 points for that August 2012 trip.

Just be aware that after May 31, 2012, you cannot bank those October 2011 points and they will have to be used by September 30, 2012. So if there was a possibility of cancelling the August trip, you would want to do that before May 31, so you could bank those points to the next year.
