Newbie Question

My DH and I looked at DVC last weekend when we where are WDW. At this time we want to wait 6 months to a year before we buy. Will we get the special promotion that is being given away at the time when we call back or will miss out because we where not ready to do it this week?

You would have to buy at whatever the prices are when you are ready to buy. The special offer is only good for 5 days from the end of your vacation. Prices will be higher in 6 to 12 months.

I understand that the price might go up but what about the other specials that they offered. Do they tend to have special offers (like developers points, $ off, etc) going all the time? If so, would we be able to get the current special?

"Will go up." Every time DVC starts sales on a new resort, the base price per point increases (which makes sense as the whole value of the DVC "system" increases). We have 2 resorts (BLT and GCV) that will start sales this year, according to "rumours".

Regardless of what incentives they offer, the base always increases . . . meaning that delaying a purchase won't really save you anything - unless you go resale.

You don't get to take advantage of the same special as when you toured.
