Various codes are released from time to time that may or may not affect your reservations. There are general codes that anyone may use, AP codes reserved for Annual Pass holders or people that will have an AP when checking in, FL residents codes, etc. We use a travel agent that specializes in Disney. She makes our rack rate reservation using a discount for AAA which we have. When the codes for AP are released, she does the calling for us to make changes and reduce our rate. Saves us tons of money and made buying an AP worth it for one person in our party. We also save money with lots of other discounts for food and shopping with the AP, so it is a good investment for us. Try these links for more details.
With the new Magic Your Way Pkgs being offered I don't think anyone knows how good the new AP codes are going to be, but I'm leaving in 7 days for WDW doing a split stay at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge and saved enough on the rooms to more than pay for my AP. I got a $250.00 courtyard view at the WL for $149.00/night and a $275.00 savanna view at the AKL for $151.00/night (almost half off ). I could have gotten a $133.00 moderate resort for $79.00/night or a $77.00 value for $49.00/night. Pretty good savings to me!!! There is no way I could have afforded those two hotels without the Code. Also for $403.64 I have my park tickets paid for a year, plus I get discounts at restaurants, mini golf, water parks, Disney Quest, the DTD store, Richard Petty Experience, etc. I'm planning on making three more trips down there this year and hope to be able to get a Code each time plus I'll already have my park ticket. Even if the new codes are not that great, I've already more than paid for the AP with just the money I've saved on this trip. :jumping4:
By the way only one person in your party has to have an AP and you can book up to three rooms with it and use it for guests for the other discounts. I used it to book my son the Richard Petty Experience next week and told the lady that I was the one with the pass and not my son. but she said it didn't matter and gave me the $35.00 discount anyway.
