Newbie question- difference between boards

What is the difference in posting between the DVC Community Board and the Disncy Vacation Club Forum? I couldn't find any technical info on the disboards that explains the difference ( or I didnt know where to look)- Thanks for your help- I just didnt want to post questions in the wrong forum.

If you're looking for info on DVC about the resorts, how it works, and I believe trip reports, you post on the DVC forum.

If you want to share a DVC story, do a count down dance or something more along teh lines of fun and less along the lines of informative, you post on teh DVC CB.

If you choose wrong, a mod will move it for you. No big deal.

Of course Greenban posted on the wrong board and it wasn't much after that that he disappeards. Hmmm....

Trip reports go on the Community Board.

The DVC Forum is for general information about DVC and how it works.

The DVC Community Forum is for fun stuff, trip reports, and was created because the DVC board had created it own DIS community somewhat separate from the general DIS Board total community.

Thanks for clarifying Granny. It didn't make sense to me to put them on the forum, but I swear I read it somewhere. It's not where I thought I read it, though.

Carrie...it seems to be an evolving thing, but I seem to recall that trip reports, new member "welcome homes" and countdown dances being the main reason they started this board. In any event, as you mentioned, the worst that can happen is they'll move a "wrongly placed thread".

Or at least I think that's the worst thing that can happen!

And though the initial reaction to the new DVC board was rather negative, it seems to have becoming quite a happening place now!!
