I am trying to figure out the best way to get from Swan/Dolphin to Ft. Wilderness in May for a 6:15 ADR. Do I take the boat to HS, and the bus to Ft. Wilderness? Is there a better way?

How long should we allow to get there?

Also, any information on how late the transportation will run back to the Swan/Dolphin would be appreciated!

Sorry if these are silly questions!

Take the bus to the MK and the boat over to Ft Wilderness. This way you won't have to take the internal campground bus down to the waterfront where HDDR and TE are.

I'd give myself about an hour. If the weather is nice the boat trip is relaxing. You have the fun of floating over a water bridge and takes you around the old Discovery Island where some structures still remain. Time it right and you might see the water pageant or fireworks at the MK on return.

The buses and boats run until an hour after the MK closes.

Yep. This is the best path. The bus ride to MK is only about 15 minutes (less since I think it's basicallt direct from the Dolphin). But the boat is always iffy. Sometimes you can wait quite a while for one to show. An hour should be about right. 90 min if you are a nervous nellie.

You can also take a taxi. I don't know the fare, but I think you can go on Mears website and do a fare calculator.

I always do that when going from one resort to another.

A taxi will drop you off at the Outpost and you'll have to take the internal campground bus...actually this is a nice way to get an overview of FW.

Personally, I'd do the bus to MK and boat. If you've never been to FW before, get there early and wander around. FW is a destination all to itself!
