Hi folks,

I've never been to Disneyland, and I for a while now I've been thinking about going over a short school break that we always have over President's Day weekend. I'm a teacher, so my Disney time is pretty much dictated by my breaks... Anyways, we get a half-day on Thursday and then Friday and Monday off. I was thinking we'd fly in on Thursday evening and then leave mid-day on Monday... How are crowds then? Can I see it all in that time? Should I get a three-day park hopper or a four day?

For reference, it would be me, my DH and my two little girls (maybe some additional family). Also, how hard would it be to rent points at the DVC location at Disneyland?

Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but I'll help by bumping your thread.

We will be there for President's Weekend too!! :cool1:

Hi! I have gone during that time. It is rather busy but doable. I live in Northern California and the week of presidents day is our "ski week"/mid-winter break so alot of folks head down to the park. That said, I have used RideMax in the past and was able to do most everything in three days (we made sure we were at rope drop every morning....you will be able to do the most the first couple of hours.. And make sure to collect fast passes. Enjoy!!! (we will be there too,,)

Oh, one other thing,...three days are good, but I always like the most days possible!!! So if it works for you I am sure four will be even better especially with the addition of Carsland!

I've never been over that weekend, but we were going to go next President's Day to celebrate both my DS's birthdays. We changed our minds after seeing the crowd calendar over on Touringplans.com. It lists the crowds as 10 during that time. So we're going for my birthday instead.

Now that being said, as a teacher, you will probably never get a time to go when it won't be crowded. If you plan carefully and get to the park first thing every morning, you should still be able to do everything you want to do in three full days. Four days are always better than three.

For the OP if you would have 4 or more hours to spend in the parks on one of your travel days I would go for the extra day pass. You would spend $80 more for a family of four to have that extra half day at the park. To me it would be worth it. If you could afford to stay onsite so that you would have EE everyday that would be even better.

Hope you can make the trip. I short trip to DL is much better than no trip to DL!
