I will be in the world starting August 9, just in time for the pin event. I haven't bought or traded pins yet but it looks like it would be fun. And besides I am there during the big event so I should seize the moment!

I keep hearing about starter sets, are these readily available? What is an average price for these? I want to get started but I am afraid I may buy and like them so much I won't want to trade!

Also I have read all the info on the pin events, which sound really cool, but I am a little confused about the pin adventure. I may not be calling it by the right name but the info said you get a map and go to different places around WS. Is there a charge for this? Do you get a special pin at the end? Can the kids do this also?

Ok I think these are enough questions. Any help would be great. I know this board is full of serious collectors and I hope you can help a newbie! Thanks!

I'm not sure how much the starter sets cost, (I'm thinking they may run aroud $15-$20...) but you won't have to worry about not wanting to trade them. They come with a 'keeper' and a 'trader'!!!

Go to Dizpins.com and click on the link near the top of the page. (In the same box at the countdown to the pin celebration.) It has LOTS of info, plus pictures of some of the pins!!!

The only cost for doing the pin adventure is if you decide to buy the pins that go with the map. These are usually open stock pins and cost about $6.50 ea. Not sure how many will be on this map. No reason kids can't do this and there usually is a free pin if you complete the map. Hope to see you there!
